Ah yes, I haven't unleashed my wrath on some DLC in quite some time. I haven't listened to any of these songs yet, well, Crushcrushcrush plays on Ethel sometimes. But I have a failing that these are going to feel.
Black Tide - Shockwave
Analysis: I haven't played every DLC track so far - but I would be willing to wager that this is the most guitar intensive song yet. With lyrics like, "I'm a shockwave and I'll take your fuckin' life" how could you not just thrash your guitar to pieces? The song is pretty sweet actually, and for $0.99 you can't go wrong.
Paramore - crushcrushcrush
Analysis: I have to admit. I thought the song "Misery Business" would have been a shoe-in for Rock Band. So, I'm a little surprised, and pretty disappointed to see a song that spits in the face of punctuation to make the cut. The song pretty much suck if you are a fan of the previous song...or most likely, hard rock in general. This song is just cheesy and lame. No thanks. Serj Tankian - Beethoven's sCent
Analysis: Ol' Serj just recently came out with his debut album and while the current single off of it is "Empty Walls," this is the track Harmonix is giving us. It's so amazingly named! I wonder what Beethoven would have smelled like? Anyway, the song is your basic System of a Down type rock track - if you like them, then I can almost guarantee you will like this song.
This week's DLC gets a:
...because the Shockwave song is the only good one and it's $0.99.
