Damn it feels good to have new XIV content.

It's been a while since my mobile app made me @ someone inadvertently. I'm glad it was all of you.

I know we sometimes disagree on things, but know I appreciate there are things we can all come together on.

Took a quick break from Control to power through Tales From the Borderlands finally. It wasn't as long a game as I was expecting but I found it very entertaining. Pity that this format of game oversaturated itself in the market, I'd have played a sequel.

Started Control last week, I've really been enjoying it. Of course in full disclosure, I'm essentially playing it in Story mode difficulty. The combat just isn't really all that compelling to me, and having to re-clear areas is, frankly, annoying.

Finally watched Monster Hunter. It was very not great. A good portion of it was also not even that fun, which is my baseline for Paul WS Anderson movies.

I've finally done it...I've done all the available Main Story Quests in FFXIV. Now to level alternate jobs to 80, starting with tanks.

Happy birthday Bass, I don't have any game footage to share (was powering through XIV 5.3 this weekend), but here's a classic gif(t) for you!

Helped the girlfriend buy a new winter jacket today, her first comment putting it on: "Wow. It has so many pockets." Then the final fantasy victory fanfare started playing in my head. I've done well.

Since @TheBlondeBass asked, here's my first take on a sketchy concept for a talking signpost in my game. I decided to work from the basis of a Herm. I'm hoping to get decent enough to pixellate the final portraits. Today I work on a dialogue system!

Happy Faye Day, fellow pervs and gamers. Treat your ladies lovingly, your gents gently, and your partners to your private parts.

Ah, a new year, and a new Self-Evaluation for my job. The fun part of it is spending 2 hours browsing the company profits so I can accurately portray my most significant contributions.

Getting close to the end of FFXIV Shadowbringers MSQ (Not the bridge content). Kind of sad, but also kind of pissed I am still doing fucking chores for people.

So I just realized that The Expanse and The Orville are two completely different shows and now I apparently have to watch The Expanse.

Started watching Cougartown. Not sure why I never tried it before, it's apparently by the same creator as Scrubs, which I adore. It's much better than I expected, I definitely plan to finish it.

It's not Tuesday, but it is your birthday. Have a happy one, dude.

I can't answer this question, but maybe a birthday boy will get the answer from someone else on here.

In other news, the Certification completed early this morning. Also, Lara looks really weird in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Scotch is definitely hitting the spot tonight

Welp, just took a Covid test and immediately feel shitty. I hope it's just anxiety and low blood sugar- those lines aren't getting any shorter. And my nose still burns from the swab test.

Happy Birthday Soulbow, ya filthy animal!

Things I forgot I did in 2020 (Part 1): Bought and beat Streets of Rage 4 on Switch while preparing for a colonoscopy. Anyone who's had one knows what that entails.

Damn RiffRaff, you and your lady are two days apart in bdays? That's a hell of a gift season! Merry birthmas!

Congrats to Yue Chan and JuIc3 on their newest little gamer. Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday, time to continue the tradition for other late December dtoiters!

About AtomicBananaone of us since 4:45 PM on 03.23.2010

The contents of this blog are opinion-based, as I have no official standing or presence in the tabletop roleplaying industry, and really just thought DICESTRUCTOID was too good of a pun to not at least attempt to engage in.

I've played a number of systems, ranging from D&D 3.5 to more than a few permutations of Powered by the Apocalypse, but some of the standouts are:

- Two year campaign of D&D 4e in the Dark Sun setting, ending in a TPK shortly before my players were set to hit level 30. Sorcerer kings can crit like nobody's business.

- Five years of various Call of Cthulhu games: Horror on the Orient Express, Miskatonic University, Classic 1920s, Secrets of Berlin, Achtung! Cthulhu, Cthulhu Dark Ages.

- Two years of King Arthur Pendragon in the Great Pendragon Campaign, suffered about nine character deaths over the course of the game, while other players lost maybe one or two.

- Two years of the Iron Kingdoms RPG, both running my own game and playing in someone else's.

- Six months running three different chronicles in the New World of Darkness (and updated Chronicles of Darkness).

Games I own and really want to run something in:

The Witcher RPG
Ryuutama: Natural Fantasy Roleplaying
Runequest
Firefly: The RPG
Sword Noir
Dungeon World
The End of the World
Heroquest 2nd Edition
Through the Breach
