LONG BLOG

30 Years, 30 Days, 30 Hidden Gems: The Conclusion

   0

Hello Destructoid! This is the 31st entry in a blog series of 30 installments.

I have loved video games for as far back as I can remember. When I turned 25, I celebrated my birthday by making a giant "My 60 Favorite Games Ever!" list on another website. Fast forward five years, I knew that when I turned 30 last month, I wanted to do something similar. I decided on this blog series: a catalogue of thirty lesser-known games that I've played over the years and loved despite their relative obscurity.

Each day in the month of November, I posted an article about a different game. I got some excellent feedback from that, and I had a lot of fun talking about these games with people. It even got featured in multiple CBlog Recaps! I wrapped up the series this past Friday, November 30th. Now that it's done, I thought I would make this as a sort of archive to have the whole series in one place. So if you missed an entry, if you are new to my blog, or if you just want to read about some video game hidden gems, here's the master list.

So there you have it! I want to thank everyone who read and commented on these while I was posting them. A special shout outs go to Lord Spencer, Flegma, and Adzuken; they were the most prolific commentators of this series. Also to the CBlogRecaps, who featured several of these on their weekly collections. Of course, anyone who read and commented has my utmost appreciation. I hope my daily posting didn't clog up the blog page too much.

I'd like to blog a little more often on here. This series was the first time I had really posted anything on here in almost a year. I have a few ideas that I'll hopefully get to sooner rather than later. I hope you will come back for those. In the meantime, thank you all for reading!

About Adam Pone of us since 10:34 PM on 04.28.2013

My name is Adam. I've been gaming as far back as I can remember, ever since the NES my parents owned when I was a wee lad. Writing has been a passion of mine for almost as long, and I've made quite a hobby out of combining the two pastimes.

I have a very wide taste in gaming. I'll give just about anything a shot, regardless of age, genre, or hardware. I like to think of gaming as an entertainment medium in the same vein as literature and film rather than a simple toy.

When I'm not writing or playing, you might find me in church, in the woods (probably on a four wheeler and/or carrying a gun), or in my room playing my guitar.
