Blastin’ bugs at PAX East: Earth Defense Force playable

With many a gamer about to flock to Boston for PAX East, which starts up on March 11, D3Publisher is trying to get the word out about Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. Booth #361 — need I say more?

Alright, fine. Here’s a little bit more to go on. The booth will offer “contests, tournaments, and free giveaways,” if for some reason the sheer thrill of defending Earth isn’t enough in and of itself.

I also just found out that Insect Armageddon takes place in — get this — a place called New Detroit. They’re quick to point out the fictional nature of this locale, but I’m not convinced.
