Bejeweled 2 coming to PSN like it’s 2004

According to a “coming soon” listing in the latest issue of the digital PlayStation Network newsletter, it looks like PopCap’s Bejeweled 2 is coming to Sony’s digital service.

Bejeweled 2 would be PopCap’s first PSN release, having already released the puzzler on Xbox LIVE Arcade, along with a handful of their other titles. The game original appeared as a free-to-play web browser game in 2004, which means the appearance of the game on PSN is long overdue. 

But you have to wonder, with the excellent Bejeweled Twist recently released on the PC, why not skip this altogether and look to the future? Bejeweled 2 is great and all, but don’t mind if I mention again that it’s five-years-old.
