Complete Beginners guide to GHOUL://RE – Roblox [SKILLBOXES + 2X XP]

Kill, Survive, Thrive.

GHOUL://RE can be an absolutely abysmal experience if you don’t know what you need to do. True to the nature of many Roblox games, the game won’t teach you much but will expect you to know everything while a swarm of high-level players absolutely destroys you.

This is exactly why we created this Complete Beginner’s Guide to GHOUL://RE, so you can have a better experience than we initially had.

Character Creation

The first time you log into the game, you’ll get to choose between either being male or female, picking your race, and picking a name for your character.

You can be a CCG member (Humans) or a Ghoul. We recommend you play a bit of both because there are quite a few differences. In our experience, playing as the a Ghoul is a bit more fun (because we get to eat other players and NPCs).

Basic controls in GHOUL://RE

We highly recommend you take a look at the controls before you attempt to play GHOUL://RE. Definitely make sure you to remember the controls for grabbing (because it’s used as a finisher), as you’ll be using this one a lot.

How to fight in GHOUL://RE

Fighting in GHOUL://RE feels weird and clunky at first, but if you practice a bit, it should all come together. First of all, definitely use the Shift-lock (PC players only) because you’ll be moving that camera a lot. When you get into a fight with another player you can’t win against, it’s usually a better idea to let yourself be killed, than run away. Unless you have some abilities that make you move quickly, there really isn’t much point.

The most important rule when fighting any enemy (both players and NPCs) is to block. If you don’t block, you won’t win; simple as that. If you time your block perfectly, you can even parry. Parries are really easy to do against NPCs, so you should definitely take advantage of that; not to mention, NPC enemy attacks are really easy to predict. When fighting other players, blocking can help you avoid a barrage of attacks and give you an opportunity to counter. In our experience, almost no other player expects you to block, so this will give you a huge advantage in PvP.

How to progress in GHOUL://RE

GHOUL://RE describes itself as a hardcore PvP game, and it certainly lives up to that description. As soon as you spawn into the world, you are essentially a sitting duck, just waiting for high-level players to destroy you, even if they gain nothing from it.

To progress in GHOUL://RE, you need to do events, finish Quests (bounties), klll NPCs, and even kill other players. If you can, it’s also a good idea to not get killed by other players, so try to avoid large groups of players, especially if they are of an opposing faction. Of course, if you have a group of friends, definitely bring them along and wreak havoc. As you do all this, you’ll gain levels and skill points which you can use to upgrade your skills and weapons. This is the basic gameplay loop, regardless of whether you’re playing as a ghoul or human.

One thing you definitely need to keep in mind is: you will die over, and over, and over again. If you’re okay with that, cool, you’ll fit right in. Otherwise, this may not be the game for you. GHOUL://RE is not beginner-friendly and can be quite frustrating when you’re just starting out. You’ll likely die less if you’re playing in a group, but if you’re going in solo (like we did), get ready for a less-than-ideal experience of getting killed, spawn killed, and killed again until you figure everything out. Alternatively, you can read this guide and avoid all of that.

How to get clothes in GHOUL://RE

Playing GHOUL://RE for the first time is a make-or-break moment for most players, even if you go through the tutorial. When you first spawn into the world (regardless of your faction), you’ll be mostly naked. The first thing you need is clothes. Clothes cost money, which you won’t have, so you’ll need money first and foremost.

To get money quickly, press “P” to bring out your locations, and go to any nearby event. The events in the game require you to stay at a certain spot and generate points for your team. Hopefully, you’ll go to an event that either has no players or one that has a few who won’t attack you. Either way, if you finish an event, you’ll get some EXP and money.

Visit the clothing store (Ghouls can visit the Anteku or Helter Skelter / CCG members can get them in the CCG Building), buy some clothes, and you’ll stop shivering. Once that’s done, you can move on to actually progressing in the game.

CCG Progression in GHOUL://RE

If you’ve spawned as a human, the first thing you need to do is visit the CCG building and become an Investigator. The CCG building is located around the middle of the map. Just look for a walled building with a little park in the walled area, and you’re all set. You’ll likely see other CCG humans coming in and out of the building. Walk in and talk to the receptionist to become a member.

From then on, you can accept missions, bounties and take part in events around town for the CCG. You can also buy and craft weapons from this building. Our advice is to pick up a starter weapon, find or create a crew of other humans, and go on a patrol to gain some experience so you can improve your Stats & Skills.

We recommend you progress a bit by taking out NPC Ghouls before you move on to killing players (bounties).

Ghoul Progression in GHOUL://RE

As a ghoul you need to eat other human players and NPCs to increase your RC, which ultimately makes you stronger. While you can’t regenerate your health as fast as humans, you have more health, are stronger and, yeah, you’re more likely to win fights, at least when just starting out. The only annoying thing is you need to keep your Hunger in check by constantly eating, but that’s just part of being a ghoul.

When you gain 5,000 RC, you can wake up your Kugane, which makes you a lot stronger and gives you access to some sweet new abilities. Ghouls can also accept missions from Anteiku, which can earn them ranks and some money.

Just like with CCG members, we recommend you get used to the combat and everything else by taking out NPCs before moving on to players.

Perma Death event in GHOUL://RE

Every server hour, there will be a perma-death showdown between all players – Delirum. You’ll be given a warning when this is about to start, and you can choose to close the game and move to a different server. During the deathmatch, you earn improved rewards and better loot, but if you get killed, you lose everything, including your character.

While this may sound bad, it’s also a chance for you to get reborn, or in other words, change your faction. If you die during the perma-death event, you’ll be sent to purgatory, and you’ll get a chance to be reborn again and start fresh. In our experience, most players choose to ignore this and just switch servers, but if you are tired of playing your race, then this might be your “free” race reroll.

That’s all there is to it for our Official GHOUL://RE beginners guide. Stay tuned to Destructoid for more GHOUL://RE guides and walkthroughs. If you haven’t already, check out our GHOUL://RE codes for some cool in-game freebies.
