Bayonetta looks great even in prototype form

Some early test footage of Platinum Games’ balls-to-the-wall action title Bayonetta has made its way to the Internet, and it has to be said that even as a prototype video, it looks quite sexy indeed. The footage shows titular hero Bayonetta beating up on some generic karate dudes, and gives you a good idea of how the combat will flow. I also said “titular” without any trace of irony.

Bayonetta is definitely among the sexiest releases this year and should hopefully provide a hardcore and entertaining action experience that will at least be better than Ninja Blade. It’s been a long time coming and I’m really itching to get my hands on the blood thing, so hopefully we can make that happen at E3 and let you know how it’s coming along.
