Can it be true? A Platinum Games title with some marketing weight behind it? Sega is giving Bayonetta the AAA treatment in preparation for its launch on January 8, going so far as to sponsor UFC matches with the game. In addition to tying Bayonetta to a rather popular sport, Sega’s also produced this snazzy new commercial.
With it being one of my most anticipated games of 2010, I’m glad Sega is putting some cash behind the promotion of this game. Whether the marketing works or not remains to be seen, but I’d say this thing has a good chance of shifting a decent amount of copies. It certainly deserves to!
