Ubisoft sent this video over as a “Developer Diary,” which is a little odd because Assassin’s Creed: The Fall is a comic book and one doesn’t usually think of a comic as having developers. However, the video does function very much like a dev diary with interviews with the creative team of the comic, which takes the series to Czarist Russia. We’ll let it slide this time, but we’ve got our eye on you Ubi.
If you think Ubisoft is half-assing anything to do with Assassin’s Creed then you haven’t been paying very much attention to all the spin-offs so far. This comic seems no different, as they sent the creative team to St. Petersburg so that they could get the feel for the city and the country as a whole.
You may love or hate the games, but it can’t be argued that Ubisoft is creating quite the world and franchise here.
