Assassin's Creed artbook revealed

Remember that random piece of Assassin's Creed art that was teased over Twitter a while ago? Turns out Ubisoft was telling the truth when they said it wasn't game related as it has been revealed that the piece, along with the one below (and possibly this one), is from an upcoming Assassin's Creed art book that Ubisoft Workshop has been working on for a while now.

The good news (unless you were still holding out for a new game based off the artwork) doesn't end there. Ubisoft Workshop was so surprised by the reaction to the artbook that they decided to add a "Carte Blanche" section to the book made up of artwork submitted by anyone. They have an open call for Assassin's Creed artwork running until Aug. 15. Just send you work over to Ubisoft Workshop and it could show up in the book. As you can see from the three pieces we already have, creativity in design is a plus.

There's no release date for the artbook itself, but I'm fine with admiring the pieces we have until we get more info some time soon.
