ARK: Survival Evolved's new Scorched Earth expansion sounds rad

A new desert mechanic

ARK: Survival Evolved continues to get regular updates, and this new expansion revealed today at PAX West is no exception.

It's called Scorched Earth, and will have players locating water, food, and shelter across an "ultra harsh" desert, adding in wyverns as a new foe. There are seven desert-themed biomes in all, 50 new items to craft, new creatures to tame, and additional challenges. It'll run you $19.99 on all platforms when it's eventually released on PS4 (it's live on PC and XB1 today).

I really need to play more ARK. Each passing month I hear about a new group of people I know that are enjoying it and I kind of just freeze in place and get back to work on something else. This expansion will be the perfect opportunity for me to fix that.
