Realtime Worlds is working on a second MMO and according to the studios’ brass, it will be revealed at some point next year.
Speaking at the GameHorizon conferenece, Realtime Worlds CEO Dave Jones teased listeners about the second MMO. He said (via GI.biz) that the unannounced MMO was a “very ambitious project” and said Realtime Worlds is enthusiastic about it.
Realtime Worlds is currently deep in development on All Points Bulletin, a violent crime MMO set to hit PC in the first quarter of next year. While Jones was hush on the details of the other upcoming MMO, we were able to write a bit about APB. The presentation at E3 focused on three elements of the game: customization, celebrity and conflict. You can read more about it here.
There’s obviously a lot of room to speculate about this unannounced title. We’re hoping it has a Crackdown vibe: collecting Orbs and bounding between buildings with juiced up SUVS rocked to begin with, but imagining the havoc unfold in a persistent world has us drooling.
