Animal Crossing Jump Out gets new details

If there’s any game that’ll justify the purchase of a 3DS, it’ll be the upcoming Animal Crossing game. Not due to any inherent quality — it’s just that you’ll be stuck playing it for hours. You won’t know why you’re playing it, but you will at least get a return on your hardware investment.

For those desperate to become engrossed in one of the most compelling time-wasters ever, some new details have finally surfaced, giving us an idea of the kind of businesses one can find in the new portable adventure.

New shopping areas will including a gardening store, shoe shop, thrift store, and raccoon housing project. Naturally, Tom Nook returns to govern that last business. In addition, an entire shopping mall will be accessible, alongside a 24-hour museum. In Animal Crossing Jump Out, players will also be able to assume the role of mayor and get some customizing control over the town, able to change fences, doors, roofs, and more.

The gardening store will let you buy seeds and tree saplings, and will be the first outlet of its type in the series. All this points to the most absorbing and activity-laden entry in the series … God help us all.
