Yesterday I told you about the GameStop pre-order item for Naughty Bear, the Friday the 13th-inspired “Slasher Bear.” But developer A2M’s obsession with horror films doesn’t stop there.
Today it’s been revealed that pre-ordering the item from Amazon.com will net you a different exclusive item — a Freddy Kruebear costume. It’s what it sounds like, as Naughty Bear will be able to don the iconic striped sweater and razor claws in the game’s multiplayer modes. The sweater isn’t quite the right colors — blue, really? — but I suppose changes had to be made to keep the legal hounds at bay.
Of course, with all of the options, it’s tough to decide where you should pre-order the game (if anywhere at all). I’ve always been partial to Freddy Krueger — I even had a Nightmare on Elm Street t-shirt with the puffy print in middle school. (I wasn’t very cool, I have to admit.)
I’m sure there’s someone out there holding out hope that they’ll reveal a Leatherface outfit. Hey, there’s always Best Buy, and the game doesn’t ship until Summer. There’s still time, A2M!
