Rebellion has announced that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Aliens vs. Predator is getting a patch. Weapon tweaks and faster matchmaking are the main aim of the fix. Good, because it sure as Hell needs it!

Team balancing improvements, fixing a glitch that affects XP during online play, and numerous other balancing ameliorations are to be delivered as well. Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley says his team have been overwhelmed with the response to AVP and want our fans to know if it’s within our power to keep them happy through on-going support then we shall do so. Some things just can’t be foreseen and it’s great that we are able to respond to requests for modifications in this way.”

Hopefully the game’s more than a-little-bit-decent with these patches. We’re not sure when the patch is coming, but it should be soon. I mean, if any of you are still playing it.
