As NinjaSpped has already pointed out, today is the birthday of our bear-like community manager (also voted best catgirl of 2017 in an election that certainly wasn't influenced by Angie's threats to stab people), Robo Panda Z! Happy birthday, Panda!

Things that make me happy: since this new TV has a fourth HDMI port (my old one only had three), I can hook my Wii U up to it alongside my PS4, Xbox, and Switch without fucking around with cables each and every time I want to play it. Yay!

So my TV died a couple of weeks ago. And I’ve been saving up for a new one since then. Today, the exact panel I was after got a pretty steep discount. And I’d saved enough to live comfortably if I got it today. Got to appreciate the minor victories.

Well, I picked up a light strip for my bedroom. My plan is that I'll expand upon it every couple of weeks until it eventually surrounds most of the room. The results are quite pretty already, since the basic starter set is already pretty damn bright.

I’ve been pretty busy these past couple of days, but I am loving what I’ve played of Smash Bros. Mostly been playing around with the Inkling and Bayo, as well as my main since the first game, Kirby. The former is a damn fine addition to the roster.

Well, I got Smash Bros as part of a Christmas present. It has once again proven that I should probably not be trusted with access to character creators. Behold!

Well, I went ahead and got myself a ticket to see Slayer with Behemoth and Anthrax next year. It'll be two days before my birthday, too! That's... kind of goddamn exciting.

Well, the guitarist from Cannibal Corpse was arrested outside his home, which was at the time on fire due to an ammunition explosion. Also, he was warning his family about aliens and the rapture. And his home was filled with guns and skulls. Oh, Florida.

Had to go shopping for something a bit more fancy than my black metal shirts for something in a little over a week’s time. I feel a little out of place at more upmarket clothes stores, but at least I found something comfy. #SelfieToid I guess!

Well, I finished all of my Christmas shopping for the year, so I figured I’d treat myself with a nice new watch band. It is at this point that I realise that I am getting old, being all excited over something like a watch band. But comfy! And pretty!

Well, it's now Tuesday in Australia. So I guess that means I should post something for #ArbitraryMetalTuesday. Them's the rules! Have some Sigh! Sigh is always good.

I've now (finally) beaten all 8 Gyms in Let's GO. I just need to do Victory Road and I'm into the post-game. I really wanted to take my time with it, and it's been a genuinely great time so far. Also maxed out my Cloyster's candy stats. It's glorious.

Well, I spent a hell of a lot of time chain catching Pikachus to max out all of my Raichu's candy values. At this point, its stats are stupid enough to make it an unstoppable god of destruction. One problem: I don't have enough gym badges for it now.

Well, I checked out what upcoming concerts are in my area. February’s going to be fun, as I now have tickets to see both Alestorm and Deafheaven.

Well, I've been out all weekend, so I've not had a chance to play Let's GO in docked mode until now. Turns out that yes, I much prefer handheld mode. It's a shame that the game won't let me use the Pro Controller, since I find the motion controls fiddly.

Played Pokémon GO for the first time since it came out after being reminded that an Apple Watch app exists for it. One that fixes a couple of issues that I had with the game, as it were. I think I may finally see the appeal.

Well, I went out to get one of the last things that I needed for Christmas present shopping. Then I decided to pick myself up a little present, too. I look forward to tearing through demonic hordes with my new Necromancer, Illya.

We're in for some unseasonably hot weather starting tomorrow, and up until around Thursday. I'm not looking forward to this. If I suddenly disappear, it's because I've probably melted into a puddle of horror and grotesqueness. I'm not good with heat.

Oh good lord, Red Dead Redemption II's install size is bigger than my ego.

Just saw the new Halloween. It was a genuinely solid horror movie. I loved how the film went to great lengths to discuss the emotional states of the cast, and how the events of the original film affected three generations of Laurie’s family.

Walked over to the shops this afternoon and picked this up. It'll be pretty fun to juggle between this and Dark Souls, for sure. Never tried the original Disgaea before, but I enjoyed the crap out of 5, so I'm looking forward to checking it out more so.

Been spending a fair chunk of today playing Dark Souls on Switch. So far, it’s a pretty solid port. This makes me unreasonably happy.

Holy crap, I just got back to my hotel room after seeing Dimmu Borgir (and having a couple of beers). They were fucking excellent live. I’ve wanted to see them for over ten years now, and I’m so goddamn happy that I’ve finally been able to.

Oh my gods, tonight I’ll be going out to see Dimmu Borgir. I’m unreasonably excited for this show. They’re just so fabulously cheesy!
