Life is Strange:BTS Episode 2 is another great ride, if they can keep up this level of quality in the third episode it has GOTY potential.

Blade Runner 2049 is the best possible sequel I think could have been made. It's fucking amazing.

Gone Home is a Game with Gold this month on Xbone. I just played through it again and it's still fucking amazing. Everyone play it!

Review: Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

I'm something of a latecomer to the world of Marvel vs. Capcom. I played MvC 2 a little bit when I was a kid but never with intention I just wanted to see the pretty colors pop on the screen. It wasn't until MvC 3 released that I reall...

Review: Destiny 2

Because the internet needs another opinion on Destiny 2!! Destiny had a rocky start when it launched in the fall of 2014. It was a bare bones product that hung it's hat on it's solid gameplay base. It didn't take long for many players ...

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is hella good. I was worried before I played it but now I can't wait for more.

Backlog Review: Mirror's Edge

I remember watching trailers way back in 2008 and being blown away by the look of Mirror's Edge. Parkour, melee combat, shooting, and chase sequences all in one first person package. Not only did the gameplay show promise, but the look...

Review: Sonic Mania

I've been hurt before. I think everyone knows the feeling, the weight of disappointment crushing all your hopes and dreams. Like Captain Ahab pursued his white whale, I too pursued something I could never hope to have. A great Sonic ga...

Backlog Review: Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein got it's start as a stealth series on early computers before transitioning into it's most recognizable form in Wolfenstein 3D. After popularizing the first person shooter genre, the series releases became sporadic. Flash fo...

Review: Tacoma

If I had played Gone Home when it released, I'm certain it would have been my game of the year in 2013. When I finally got around to playing it 2014, it blew me away. Gone Home was an experience unlike any other at the time. It was sti...

So, I just finished What Remains of Edith Finch. Everyone should play What Remains of Edith Finch. So do that.

Backlog Review: Watch_Dogs

Watch Dogs was supposed to be the first "true" next generation game for PS4 and Xbox One. When it was announced way back in 2012, it was accompanied by a mind blowing trailer that ended up being not so representative of the final produ...

Looking Back: Bioshock Infinite

This is a spoiler warning!! When Bioshock Infinite first came out, it was heavily praised for it's storytelling and it's signature "Irrational" twist. Years later, the games flaws have been heavily examined by the gaming community, an...

Backlog Review: Outlast

Horror has to be the hardest genre to develop for. How many jump scares before the player stops caring? How long do you let the player wander before forcing down a path? How do you keep a player from breaking the immersion you so caref...

Mixer actually seems pretty cool. Just made an account because of this. Hopefully it's good free stuff. https://twitter.com/Xbox/status/872830623018176516

Looking Back: Call of Duty: World at War

This is a spoiler warning!! Often derided as a throwaway B-team effort, World at War is basically the red-headed stepchild of the franchise. The game was put in the unenviable position of being the follow up to Modern Warfare, and goi...

If you think pizza is an open faced sandwich then you don't deserve pizza.

Injustice 2 Review

When NetherRealm Studios announced their next game after MKX would be Injustice 2, nobody was surprised. The first Injustice was a huge hit, one that built upon the MK formula in key ways but took a few liberties of it's own. Back to b...

Looking Back: Mass Effect 3

This is a spoiler warning!! About a month ago I finished a run through one of my all time favorite games, Mass Effect 2. To no ones surprise, it's still a damn masterpiece. It's not perfect, and their are plenty of things to nitpick, ...

Looking Back: Mass Effect 2

This is a spoiler warning!! About a year ago I took a look back at the Original Mass Effect. That playthrough confirmed to me that nostalgia goggles are in fact real, and the brains ability to mask negatives is truly astonishing. Now ...

Quick question, how do I edit my Xbox Live name for my page sidebar? I just noticed when I looked at my blog incognito that my Xbox/PSN names show up at the bottom of the sidebar and are out of date. Can't seem to find any option to change them.

Backlog Review: Costume Quest 2

Let's get this out of the way, kids are not stupid. They can handle some complexity. There's a real thin line between a game built with an eye towards younger players and a game that's a complete snooze. Costume Quest 2 stradles that l...

Backlog Review: Dishonored DE

The empire is in chaos. A plague carried across the land by vicious packs of rats is wreaking havoc. No one knows where these rats came from, but they multiply quickly and attack with single minded purpose. In the midst of this crisis,...

Backlog Review: Halo 3: ODST

Halo 3: ODST is something of an anomaly in the Halo franchise. A smaller game that utilizes the same base mechanics the franchise is known for but places those mechanics in an unfamiliar shell. It's also the first Halo game where you d...

Backlog Review: Sleeping Dogs DE

Sleeping Dogs was a surprise hit when it landed on last gen consoles in August of 2012. It was a small miracle that it even made it to shelves. Activision had sloughed it off, stating it lacked the potential to be a top player in the ...

About CoruptAI125one of us since 11:56 PM on 09.23.2009

I'm Josh, and this is my assuredly amazing blog that everyone should read. I'm primarily a console gamer, thriving on RPGs and action games, but playing pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I also do some PC gaming, but that mostly consists of buying games on Steam that I don't have the capability of actually playing. I'm on a quest to write something about every game I play through. This will likely come in the form of a review but I may pull an editorial out of my ass from time to time.

Games I'm currently playing
Prey (2017)
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

What I'm watching
Random documentaries on youtube
Ken Burn's Vietnam

None at the moment, hopefully I find the time and motivation to read novels again in the future
