I normally don’t get political, but here goes. Regarding person of the year award, Fauci was robbed. My 25 cents.

Just started playing Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. What is with the “byproducts”? It seems like a really weird choice of words.

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is $20 on Amazon. I finally gave in. You probably should too.

I don't wanna sound like a queer or nothin', but I think Depeche Mode is a sweet band!

I was thinking that Switch needs a Mario Golf and a Warioware game. Do me a favor and tell your uncle to pass that on to the bigwigs for me please?

Got a big, cheap bottle of wine. So I’m sharing my favorite old music video for drinking.

In this digital music era, I don’t listen to albums as much as I used to. But just wanna say Tricky’s latest “Fall to Pieces” is fantastic I just listen to it almost every day since it came out. So definitely my pick for album of the year.

I wanna join the fun. Not really proud of the fact that staying inside all day I decided not to bathe or groom myself. That's a lie, I'm happy with my decision. #selfietoid

Rune Factory 4 Special

So, this game is my current obsession. I play games often, but not often enough get fully immersed in binge gaming mode. This is the first game to fully engross me, having me staying up late (and sneaking in a few minutes in the mornin...

Dammit. I was gonna subscribe to PS Now at the new lower price, but the price of the code on Amazon still $100. I went to Q&A to see if anyone mentioned it, and I see that people are saying that even if you get an Amazon code you still need to enter CC#.

Does anyone know if the Gamestop Katamari/Plush bundle is a hoax? The article said it was supposed to release today, I went to Gamestop and they can't even find it in their system.

Has anyone ordered the Switch SNES controllers? I've been trying, but Nintendo's page is giving me nothing. Dtoid article said they ship on the 18th, but I can't even find that much info from Nintendo. Did the initial shipment sell out right away?

Anything Not Saved Will Be Lost

Whenever I see that phrase upon exiting a game, I always feel like some evangelical is proselytizing me. Ok, I get it, we all know, the wages of sin are death, and the wages of not saving your game are frustratedly replaying thru a par...

Really feeling hyped for the Turbografx-16 Mini. On NES mini there were a few titles on the Japanese version I was envious of. It seems Konami's approach is gonna be to give everyone both region's set of titles in the other language. I really like that.

Just noticed that Kimagure Orange Road has been added to Crunchyroll! I am so psyched. I've seriously wanted to watch this show for 25 years, no exaggeration.

Recently discovered Puce Mary. If you've never heard her, it's basically Aphex Twin summoning Satan. I'm impressed.

I'll be honest. I don't like Borderlands. All this talk about it tho is making me wish Gearbox would remake one of my favorite Wii games for the Switch! With HD rumble and slightly more accurate motion controls, it could be so good!

I just love this album cover! I don't care what you think, this is metal AF. The album itself is rather middling, seen any awesome album covers recently?

Was listening to the Avantasia & Candice Night song "Moonglow" earlier in the car. Gave me some intense ASMR.

Anyone else having issues with Genesis Alpha One? I was lucky enough to win it here the other day. Just now got around to trying to play it. It hung and crashed on the first loading screen after intro video. Twice.

Octopath Traveler: A Love Letter

I know I'm late to the party, but I recently started playing Octopath Traveler. I have limited money, limited time, and what feels like an unlimited backlog, so I'm often one of the last to play a game. I'm about 30 hours in so far. I'...

About Damien Quicksilverone of us since 8:25 PM on 12.22.2018

Near the beginning of the millennium, I wrote an opinion column titled "My Twenty-Five Cents" in a short lived zine titled "Classic Gamer Magazine" iirc. I used the pen name "Damien Quicksilver" at the time. I get thoughts about gaming that I feel the urge to write about from time to time, so this is something of a reprisal I suppose. If there is somehow anyone out there who remembers that zine, that would be amazing. It was made with a group of folks I met in rec.games.video.classic on Usenet. If there is somehow anyone out there who remembers what Usenet is, you're old. If you don't know what Usenet was, it was basically the cretaceous period equivalent of Reddit.
