REVIEW: New 3DS XL 'Majora's Mask' Edition (3DS)

Usually, when Nintendo announce new hardware I wait for the inevitable Legend of Zelda edition before committing to buy, and my purchase of a new system often coincides with a new game in that series because for me it’s Nintendo...

REVIEW: The Legend of Zelda (Series) (3DS/WiiU)

To celebrate the, long overdue, release of Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D this week I thought I would dig-up and update a special article I wrote a long time ago for my personal blog. I wrote this originally around the time o...

REVIEW: Ys: The Oath in Felghana (PSVita/PSP)

Despite enjoying many JRPGs and Action-RPGs (especially Zelda!), the Ys series of videogames has been something that had quietly passed me by over the years; indeed until I picked up my PSVita last year I’d never even really hea...

NEWS: Majora's Mask New 3DS XL sold out in UK!?

Amidst all the *cough* excitement going on in the USA regarding the rapid selling-out of the limited New 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Edition console at major retailers, the situation in the UK seems to have been overlooked, and has...

REVIEW: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PS3)

One of the weirdest prospects in recent years has been the way that Atlus decided to carry on the story of Persona 4 Golden, a Japanese RPG and social-sim fusion, which blew me away when I played through it last year. Released in 2014...

REVIEW: Persona 4 Arena (PS3)

One of the weirdest prospects in recent years has been the way that Atlus decided to carry on the story of Persona 4 Golden, a Japanese RPG and social-sim fusion, which blew me away when I played through it earlier this year; read my ...

SPECIAL: Top-10 Anticipated Games of 2015

2014 is almost over (just a matter of days now) and it's been an 'alright' year for videogames; there have been some absolute gems released in the second half of the year but it seemed like a lot of stuff was either rushed out unfinish...

REVIEW: Persona 4 Golden (PSVita/PSTV)

Persona 4 is a game that has been in my possession for years, no exaggeration. I picked up the PS2 version several years ago at the same time as Persona 3 FES, at the tail-end of that console generation, and never-ever got around to p...

SPECIAL: Game of the Year Awards 2014

It’s that time of the year again, when it’s good to think back over all the games I’ve played throughout the year and appreciate all the good experiences that I’ve had with videogames. Admittedly though, 2014 ha...

REVIEW: The Evil Within (PS4)

Playing through The Evil Within has been a real rollercoaster ride, not just in terms of narrative and action set pieces, but also in terms of quality, pacing, and difficulty. The short version of this review is that while this game i...

REVIEW: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (PS4)

Before reviewing The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, I need to get a couple of disclaimers out of the way. Firstly, I never played the original flash-based game on PC, I know a couple of people who did and really enjoyed it, but I just nev...

REVIEW: Lords of the Fallen (PS4)

Every single review I’ve read of Lords of the Fallen discusses it entirely with references to another game (check out Destructoid’s blunder), which I think is doing it a real disservice and it’s grated on me ove...

REVIEW: Alien Isolation (PS4)

When I visited the EGX Expo in London this year, there were several games that I saw but for some reason slipped under my radar, and I didn’t give them a second thought until much later; one of these games was Shadow of Mordor. ...

SPECIAL: Games of 2014 (So far...)

2014 had a bit of slow start, luckily I've been able to pepper much of the year's new releases with games in my backlog to make up for it. However, there have been some really good games that eventually made it out the door in th...

REVIEW: Shadow of Mordor (PS4)

I love sleeper hits. I remember when the original Matrix film came out and, for some reason, I knew almost nothing about it, which was the perfect way to enjoy that film - a leftfield surprise that was so innovative and different...

SPECIAL: Top 25 PS3 Games!

NOTE: This article was originally posted 11/09/2014 on my personal blog, but I thought (as brief as it is) it would make a good inaugural post for Destructoid; mainly because it gives you an idea of what games interest m...

About n0signalone of us since 2:01 AM on 10.06.2014

Videogames have come a long way since the 8-bit and 16-bit days of old, and it is now one of the most interesting and constantly-evolving storytelling mediums. I started blogging about videogames a few years ago because I am very passionate about certain experiences I've had, which I don't think could have existed outside of our unique hobby, and I wanted to share this with other like-minded people on the internet.

I'm based in the UK and my favourite videogame of all time is probably still Shadow of the Colossus, but other more recent games such as the impeccable Dark Souls and Journey have given it a run for its money. My other interests, and things I have blogged extensively about, are board games and Japanese anime. I've got a degree in Media Communications and Film, and I'm currently a Teacher of ICT.

I post fairly regularly on my personal blog at https://n0timportant.blogspot.co.uk/, so please visit there for legacy videogame reviews and articles on anime, boardgames, etc.
