Marvel's Spider Man is a pretty good time. The game is telling me it's my last chance to upgrade before the end, so I'm close. How strongly would you recommend the DLC?

I played football today (the real one) for the first time in probably decades. It was fun! I think I still somewhat got it as a goalkeeper. Got a bit carried away though, now the bruises are stinging.

At last I've done my gamer duty and played Half-Life 1, or rather Black Mesa. I doubt it will be my GOTY of even my GOTM, but back in 1998, when FPSs were still Doom clones, it's obvious how it became such a legend. Wish I'd played it back then.

Finally reached the fabled Xen levels in Half-Life by way of the Black Mesa remake. Oddly, this part of the game took years longer than everything else to be remade. Was that just because it looks so different than the human facility?

Is MTG Arena just like paper magic, or is it like previous PC Magic games that have different cards and rules?

Am I the only one that dislikes the uncritically positive coverage that big companies that sell stuff to raise money for charity get when they could simply give their own money? It would be one thing if they sold stuff with the promise of donating...

Can I please start getting some downvotes? I checked out my comments this past week to find out who secretly hates me, and turns out there wasn't a single downvote. All this love and encouragement all the time is getting kinda old.

It seems I really like Japanese games, played 21 different games, 367 hours, the most on Saturday nights, 148 new trophies, 0 hours online and must have left a game running occasionally as I surely never played for 22 hours straight.

Just starting Black Mesa. Never played HL1, tried it once, far too ugly for my modern sensibilities. Let's see how it goes now.

At last, Red Dead Redemption 2 is done. So it does end. I'm still kinda of unpacking it. It's a puzzling game, I don't understand quite a few design decisions, the gameplay often works against you, and yet it's also a rousing achievement.

Does Red Dead Redemption 2 ever end? I seemingly finished the game, then started an epilogue, then another epilogue, and it just keeps going forever. I must have been in the "epilogue" for 10 hours already.

Might as well make it two quotes from two games!"It's cliché. It's cliché for a reason" "Change is only good when it makes things better"

I'm glad to report that Netflix's The Witcher is cool. Would be better without the twisting timeline, but still good. Looking forward to season 2.

Probably the biggest test to your suspension of disbelief in RDR2 isn't that you're a one-man army, it is how the hell a gang with so many unbelievably stupid people was so successful for so long.

The gunplay in Red Dead Redemption 2 is iffy. Auto-aim makes gunfights trivial, free aim makes them nigh unplayable. The controls are unresponsive, it's often hard to see where you're supposed to shoot, and forget about hitting anything on horseback.

TFW you die at the very end of a long RDR2 mission and accidentally restart the whole fucking mission instead of the checkpoint.

Here's Caim's list of games I finished in 2019 and a few words about my personal GOTY. I was going to write a nice long blog, but turns out I like playing games more than I like writing about them. So check out the comments and tell me what you think!

I don't think I've ever turned down a videogame mission with as much satisfaction as I did when Mary comes to Arthur for help in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Guess it's looking more and more likely Trump will start a major war to ensure he isn't voted out in November.

The bathroom in the hotel room I'm staying for the new year. Can an English speaker even understand this?

I watched Bandersnatch yesterday. I got only 3 words. What. The. Fuck.

Jesus Christ, Gabriel in Gabriel Knight 20th anniversary edition just might the worst sounding video game character ever. It makes my ears bleed. It´s legit affecting my enjoyment of the game.
