PS1 REVIEWS REPORT: 90-81

After the debatable qualities of the top 100-91 games on Retro Sanctuary'stop 100 PS1 games list, the selection was only going to get better. Surprisingly, it got better by quite a bit. While I actually reviewed only one game in t...

PS1 REVIEWS: Silhouette Mirage

While they are not a very well-known developer, Treasure managed to carve a well-regarded niche for themselves. They are known to make all kinds of solid action shooters from Shmups like Radiant Silvergun to Run 'n Guns like Gunstar He...

PlayStation 1 REVIEWS: The List

It came, it saw, and it sure as hell bloody conquered. With its entry into the console race, the electronic giant, Sony, was a pro athlete competing against high school kids. Not only did Sony convincingly "win" the 5th generation cons...

PS1 REVIEWS REPORT: 100-91

As to be expected from the bottom-placed (in this case the higher numbered) games in a top 100 list, there would be debatable quality. Except, this really shouldn't be the case for a console with the massive library of the PS1. I am af...

PS1 REVIEWS: Wild 9

Made by some of the same people responsible for the Earthworm Jim series, Wild 9 already had a pedigree for zany worlds and unique humor behind it. Yet, that didn't transfer in any meaningful way to the game.In fact, this actually expo...

Massive layoffs at my company for the first time in its history. Worst thing about it is the cheerleaders by the side. They lack the decency to be empathetic even if the layoffs were logically sound.

PS1 REVIEWS: Roll Away:

I remember playing Roll Away (known as Kula World in Europe) as a kid. Even then, I thought this was a demo game that just came in with the PlayStation console. It looked like something to showcase the 3 capabilities of a system while ...

PS1 REVIEWS: Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko

Right on the tail (HA) of the last Gex game, Crystal Dynamics were busy crafting a sequel that would push the boundaries of the PlayStation console while opening new ground with their reptilian mascot. It's arguable if they succeeded wi...

PS1 REVIEWS: Gex: Enter the Gecko

Of all the video game mascots born in the 90s, Gex has always been the one that most embodied the spirit of the decade. With his sarcastic humor and misuse of parody as a style, he was as obnoxious a 90s star as you can get.Other than ...

PS1 REVIEWS: Disruptor

Disruptor is a competent Doom-like FPS with little to deviate it from the scores of such games. It is worth remembering only as a footnote in the development history of Insomniac Games, which started with this unremarkable game and the...

Reviewing the Sega Saturn:

With the release of the 5th generation of consoles, videogames leaped into a new dimension. 3D games were now fully possible, and 2D games were looked at technically regressive and were lampooned as such in much of the gaming press. No...

Top 10 Sega Saturn Games:

Now that I completed my Sega Saturn reviews series (reviewing around 30 games and playing over 50 games), I am ready to make my own Top 10 games list. My top 10 is widely different than Retro Sanctuary's list, with only three games bei...

Saturn REVIEWS REPORT: 10-1

Finally, we are down to the supposedly top 10 Sega Saturn games. At least, this is the top 10 according to the Retro Sanctuary list I have been using all this time. Since I already played enough Saturn games to make my own top 10 ...

DS REVIEWS: Mega Man ZX Advent

For those reading one of my DS review blogs for the first time, here is the basic concept: The DS is one of the greatest consoles ever, and it had a massive games library. Despite playing a lot of DS games a huge number of great under-...

Saturn REVIEWS: Panzer Dragoon Saga

Few games in the Sega Saturn library have the almost mythical reputation of Panzer Dragoon Saga, an ambitious RPG game that arrived in the latter stages of the console's life and consequently didn't get as much attention as it deserved...

About Lord Spencerone of us since 5:57 PM on 01.12.2014

Hello all, I am Lord Spencer, your friendly neighborhood royalty. Yes, the ancient bloodlines are letting absolutely anyone in these days.

Being the lurker that I am, I have been following Destructoid for more than four years. Well, its 3 AM where I live now, and I just plunged in getting HUGE in the way.

Here is hoping for a fun time.

Oh yes, here is a little more info about me that is probably not as interesting as I think it is:

-I owned and played about 1000+ games.
-I owned and read about 2000+ books (I counted comic books I read as a kid so this is not as impressive as it sounds).
-I absolutely love Legos.

Out of all the games I played, I only regret playing a few. I am a big fan of gaming, and thus I really like most of what I play.

Thanks to the excellent work of community member Dango, now I have a cool infographic of my top 20 games. This list is not my final one, but what I thought off at the moment. If you notice, they are presented in chronological order:

Oh, and here is a link to my blogs:
