#OPtoid From Free! Iwatobi Swim Club. All its openings are pretty catchy.

Ugh, Jedi Fallen Order is stuttering all over the place on PC. Really spoiling the game, not sure I want to play it in this state. Fucking EA.

I didn't know about Backloggd, I've been using Grouvee.com for years for my backlogging/tracking. I've blown through my backlog in lockdown so there's only a few left...

Man, I remember enjoying PoP The Sands of Time more when it came out. The combat is pretty dull by today's standards, camera's a mess, sound mix is bad. Still, the platforming/parkour stuff can be fun, when the camera behaves.

I love Wikipedia articles about pop songs, with their straightforward, analytic descriptions.

Revisiting games I haven't played in years part 2 - I've played 30 hours of Fallout 3 in the past week, immersed in it all over again. So much better on PC. Has also helped to take my mind of everything.

I'm just gonna accept I'll never finish Chrono Trigger. It's my 2nd or 3rd attempt over several years, now I'm just burnt out on it. Was a lot of fun, but I want to move on to other games.

Grab the tail.

Thinking about how odd Sif's fur looks. I guess there's technical limitations and hair is hard to do. Wonder what rendering/shading/whatever techniques they used.

I've recently played and finished Creaks, it is a very good puzzle adventure game with robo-dogs and bird people. Go play Amanita's other games as well!

Nintendo sent me a brand new Pro controller rather than repair my faulty one. Unexpected but I'll take it, makes the repair charge seem more reasonable.

Finished Into the Breach after getting it free from EGS. I got quite into it, it's fun once you get the hang of it. Think I prefer FTL though, which I've started playing again and will hopefully beat this time...

Last of Us 2 finally finished. Could've done with being several hours shorter; became a bit of a slog at the end emotionally and in general. Great in terms of gameplay and presentation, but feel a bit conflicted about the story and it's intentions.

Why is Nintendo so bad at making controllers these days. Left stick on my Pro controller is drifting down, guess I'll have to send it for repair. Not going back to using the awful joycons.

Why tho

I've been more aware of lens flare in games recently. It's never really bugged me before, but now... I don't want to be reminded I'm looking through a "camera". Even BOTW has it for some reason, I guess eye-candy? I'd rather an option to disable it.

I've encountered a seemingly permanent glitch in TLOU2. Details in the comments (no spoilers).

One thing I already like about TLOU2 is the cover art. They reportedly had to fight to get Ellie to the front on the first games cover, now it's all her and her ANGERY face. Fitting.

Really hope TLOU2 doesn't get too depressing. I've been playing FEZ for the first time as well, so I can have breaks with charming pixel-y fun.

I think AssCreed: Origins is the first game I find to be just too big. No game needs a map this huge. Also having to skip side quests so I don't level up too fast. I've mostly enjoyed it, but after hour 30 things get rather same-y.

I have acquired the Big New Game. Surprised to see two discs, is this the first PS4 game that has two?

So is Outlast 2 good or nah? I quite liked the first one.

Finished Amnesia again, still holds up as a genuinely scary game. Such a foreboding atmosphere, a lot of which is down to the sound design. Creepy fountains help too.

Played them since the mid 90s, pretty much as soon as I could properly coordinate my thumbs.

I also make music.
