Nintendo sent me a brand new Pro controller rather than repair my faulty one. Unexpected but I'll take it, makes the repair charge seem more reasonable.

Finished Into the Breach after getting it free from EGS. I got quite into it, it's fun once you get the hang of it. Think I prefer FTL though, which I've started playing again and will hopefully beat this time...

Last of Us 2 finally finished. Could've done with being several hours shorter; became a bit of a slog at the end emotionally and in general. Great in terms of gameplay and presentation, but feel a bit conflicted about the story and it's intentions.

Why is Nintendo so bad at making controllers these days. Left stick on my Pro controller is drifting down, guess I'll have to send it for repair. Not going back to using the awful joycons.

Why tho

I've been more aware of lens flare in games recently. It's never really bugged me before, but now... I don't want to be reminded I'm looking through a "camera". Even BOTW has it for some reason, I guess eye-candy? I'd rather an option to disable it.

I've encountered a seemingly permanent glitch in TLOU2. Details in the comments (no spoilers).

One thing I already like about TLOU2 is the cover art. They reportedly had to fight to get Ellie to the front on the first games cover, now it's all her and her ANGERY face. Fitting.

Really hope TLOU2 doesn't get too depressing. I've been playing FEZ for the first time as well, so I can have breaks with charming pixel-y fun.

I think AssCreed: Origins is the first game I find to be just too big. No game needs a map this huge. Also having to skip side quests so I don't level up too fast. I've mostly enjoyed it, but after hour 30 things get rather same-y.

I have acquired the Big New Game. Surprised to see two discs, is this the first PS4 game that has two?

So is Outlast 2 good or nah? I quite liked the first one.

Finished Amnesia again, still holds up as a genuinely scary game. Such a foreboding atmosphere, a lot of which is down to the sound design. Creepy fountains help too.

That's Doom Eternal finally done. Not sure it needed to be that long (the 500th glory kill gets a little boring) but it was almost all enjoyable, apart from the last 2 bosses being a bit too hectic. Better than the first game overall.

Playing Assassin's Creed Egypt. Reached Alexandria, one of the most legendary, beautiful ancient cities... I've spent a lot of time just clambering over the statues.

That's RE3make finished. It was decent enough but I preferred RE2make. Also it somehow felt smaller than the original, I vaguely remember there being more areas to explore, like that park with the giant worm...

Oh no. The path is blocked. I must find another way. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

I'm impressed at the level of detail and... anatomical correctness of the RE3make dogs.

Anyone else notice in the donut shop in RE3 remake, the radio plays this track from the original RE2? It pleased me.

Playing Mario Odyssey, then made this dumb thing

Been meaning to replay The Last Of Us, so now that 2 is coming up I've bought the remaster and made a start. I knew what was coming, but the beginning is still so affecting. Also I'm still not great at stealth, Joel is riddled with bullets...

Started Doom Eternal... I think I'm in love with this game. Also thanks to my recent upgrade I'm running above 60 FPS at 1440p, max settings. It is Glorious.

Played them since the mid 90s, pretty much as soon as I could properly coordinate my thumbs.

I also make music.
