Somehow all this time I missed the Animal Crossing reference on this FFXIV minion. I mean, yeah, it's a tanooki, but that leaf on its head should have tipped me off they were going for Tom Nook directly.

Keeping in the spirit of the release day, I watched Doom Annihilation and it was... actually kind of okay. By-the-numbers, really, and with no Doomguy, but with lots of nice references to Wolfenstein, Perfect Dark, iD Software things.

"Social distancing" is a weird term to me. People want to adopt the merits of being asocial to avoid a virus without admitting that they're advocating introverted behavior, which has never been a bad thing save for society framing it as bad.

Just want to add some of the character defaults in Nioh 2 are hysterical. Literally Solid Snake, Almost Harley Quinn, Literally Female Hawke From DA2 and Final Fantasy XIV producer YoshiP are all defaults.

My Nioh 2 character looks like Psychotic Murder Goth Mitsuru. You could take her to dinner with friends, but she'd probably think your friends were dinner. She's got scars because wrestles oni for fun. She likes long walks through Hell & crushing skulls.

Did a lot of the Diadem update for gathering jobs in FFXIV. The currency reward let me get this cute little Cerberpup.

Coronavirus has revealed the following: Data caps are indeed bullshit, many office workers can just work from home after all, people running sports organizations can be responsible, the US gov't really could cover every American's health care, etc.

What botanist doesn't keep a plasma canon handy?

I am a catgirl working with catfish people and my daily work with them sometimes consists of fishing up catfish. And they seem to want me to help them just make up places of spiritual significance future catfish people will believe. Yes, yes. Not shady.

It's so odd yet incredibly cool that even crafters and gatherers get cinematic storylines in FFXIV. Cooler still is I learned some of fishing the techniques were real things fishers do. Noctis would be proud.

Only thing I didn't like about the FFVIIR demo was metering up to use magic and items is completely janky. That and Classic Mode is not classic mode at all. And Barret sounds like a faith healer. Otherwise I liked it.

Getting ready for these two. Break time at work is Doom time right now.

Unlike some people, I dress properly for fishing.

After several months on Faerie in FFXIV, I managed to snag a plot to build a house I'll be using as a little fortune teller shop/cafe. I don't do much role playing, but Astrologian kind of invites it.

I didn't need another version of Bayonetta, but I never did play Vanquish and never had a physical version of the Bayonetta, so finding out the launch edition has a gorgeous steel case eases my half-repeat purchase.

FFXIV Ruby Weapon fight was fun. It also was full of stuff Torch would probably like. There was even a nerd obsessed with creating miniatures of Garlean war mechs. Next trial, when it happens, is teased to be Sapphire Weapon, so now Pokémon references.

"It's just a game" is only weak depending on the context, like when you're being an asshole to others whose time you just wasted online. When you lose your temper and explode at others over losing and people remind you it's just a game, they are right.

Saw this on Twitter yesterday and it made my day.

Got my Canopus Lux for Astrologian in FFXIV. It's named for the brightest star in the Carina constellation and the navigator that served King Menelaus of Sparta during the Trojan War.

Got Astrologian to 80 and am entering the most grindy step of the Anima weapon steps, but it's a good opportunity to adapt to more chaos as a healer and earn loads of rewards from the current Moogle event so it won't be too bad.

Leveling binge is almost over til I get the itch again. My level 80 Warrior quest almost went like this, but Curious Gorge was her actual love interest. I was her Dad's first pick to marry her, though.

At this point it might be a better election system.
