PS Friday Night Fights: Work... Work Never Ends

This is how I've felt the past week I'm hopefully finally done with the intense 'get shit done yesterday' kind of work I've been doing the past 2 weeks, and I can relax and peruse the forums a bit more, and play a few more games. I...

PS FNF: Science Fiction Friday Nights Edition!

This is some slick concept art for the brutally murdered Star Wars 1313 game. Mourn, mourn like you mean it. But hey, at least we have the new Battlefront game coming out! It’s always interesting seeing games that were cancel...

PS Friday Night Fights: (Late) End of Year Edition

PS FNF: /Endrant Mostly...

Hit the weakpoint for massive damage! Until the weak point falls off at least. I think I’m slowly getting tired of being angry at video games. Destiny’s RNG is frustrating, Rockstar keeps delaying content apparently wit...

PS Friday Night Fights: There Will Be DOSH Edition

Oh boy! I'm pretty excited about Killing Floor 2 coming to PS4. I don't have much more to say than that, so I'll hit you with a quote instead. "In other words, Tripwire is not being "consolized", rather we plan on "Tripwirizing" ...

PS Friday Night Fights: Thanksgiving Was Yesterday

It was Thanksgiving yesterday, and my sister hosted at her new house this year. Our flight was delayed 3 hours, then only 20 minutes, then 2 hours over the course of 6 hours. Already a fun time. I had to help cook because I was the...

PS Friday Night Fights: Behind the Scenes Edition

PS Friday Night Fights: Fireworks and Cookouts Edition

Woo! As with most holiday weekends, everything is a little harder to plan. Some people are gone, others don't know when they'll be getting back, lots of people have things to do and like to do them on their three-day weekend. But there are...

PS Friday Night Fights: So Plus Edition

PS+ wins again! It might be getting repetitive at this point, but PS+ is really pretty amazing. I was skeptical of them making it a requirement. I don't believe that basic functions of games, which online play has become, should be locked ...

PS Friday Night Fights: Murder Cats

About PS FNFone of us since 12:46 AM on 09.05.2011

Welcome to the home of PlayStation Friday Night Fights.

Friday Night Fights is a weekly event where we, community members, cooperate with or murder each other online. There is a forum thread for planning and then a blog post here with the final schedule. Keep an eye out for both them if you want to play some games.

If you are new to the whole thing, check this out: FNF FAQ: Everything you need to know (but never asked) about Friday Night Fights

The Guide

To Play

Keep yourself up to date on the schedule. The list in the forums can change several times throughout the week.

Leave a message with your PSN name and which games from the schedule you want to play. More people will play if other people are playing, so speak up.

Send a PSN friend request to the person hosting the game which includes a message with your Dtoid name. If you leave out who you are on the site, they might think you're just a random friend request and ignore you.

To Host

If you want your game listed on the schedule, we need the game, the time, and your PSN ID. We need the specific game, not an abbreviation that applies to more than one; a start time, even if you're playing "all night"; and we need your PSN ID even if you think we know it already.

Don't worry about hosting the same game or hosting a game at the same time as someone else. Instead, think of it like a movie theater; more than one game can run at the same time.

Make sure you have at least an hour to play. That's only two or three matches of the average shooter and those go by pretty quick.

Check the comments, on both the forum post and the cblog when it goes up on Friday, to see if someone has said they'll play. You might have missed their PSN message or your friend list might be full.
