3DS gem Tomodachi Life receives a new arrangement for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

0

Freed from the shackles of the 3DS

Tomodachi Life is easily one of the most unexpected success stories of the Nintendo 3DS. A sequel to a game that was originally only for Japan, the quirky title went on to capture the hearts of Nintendo fans and sell over six million copies. The game even got a stage in the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. 4, where it had one song included.

With its hard-earned stage returning for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the team appears to be correcting the errors of the previous game. A new arrangement of "Afternoon on the Island," arranged by Masafumi Takada, will be included in the upcoming game.

You can check out the arrangement below.

Now the composer for this arrangement, Masafumi Takada has a hell of a resume in the game industry. The man has worked on the soundtracks for many notable games such as Killer7, No More Heroes, Danganronpa, God Hand, The Evil Within, and Vanquish. Needless to say, the man gets around the industry and there's a good chance you've heard his work at some point.

In regards to Nintendo games, this isn't his first time working for the company. Masafumi provided arrangements for both Brawl and 4, including the only Tomodachi Life arrangement that was mentioned earlier. In addition, he worked on the Japan exclusive Wii title Zangeki no Reginleiv, as well as the excellent Kid Icarus: Uprising. You can check out one of his contributions to the latter below.
