343 details how they created the Prometheans in Halo 4

Our latest look at Halo 4 shows off the evolution of the Promethean character design, the main antagonists of Halo 4. This 10-minute ViDoc gives us a nice overview of how the new enemy forces work with all their different abilities, and their advanced weaponry. The Covenant will be around, but the Prometheans are a way bigger threat here.

What I really liked from this behind-the-scenes look was how 343 developed the Promethean Knight character. They went through many different iterations before settling on what the thing looks like now. A lot of the prior designs gives off a very anime feel. Some even made me think of Skullgirls.

Halo 4 will be out on November 6, 2012. Expect a new hands-on preview of the game to appear on Destructoid soon.
