Good news is that I have a working Xbox 360.
Meet the 60 GB.
I'm apparently the harbinger of my own death in this household! Yeah, I just went out and bought a brand new Xbox 360 60 GB.
Old guard, meet the new guard That's the good news. Things get to carry on like normal. Whoopee.
As for the second one, it depends. I can sell it at a loss and not be hurting, as pointed out before, MS still isn't turning a profit on these, so I did them no favors by buying one other than stacking another point on their card on who has more units sold.
I can keep it too and just wait for the inevitable RROD, repair it, and then sell it at that point for a substantial gain over what I'd get for a busted ass 20GB with no wireless controllers.
BUT, here's the bad news. And it is bad.
This is the LAST Xbox 360 I'm buying. Period.
If this 60 GB junks on me, I'm done. Cutting my ties. Metalocalypse will fade into the sunset, I cut my losses and make my time with the games I had and enjoy them for what they were at the time. No more.
I just don't have it in me to keep up with this any longer if this keeps going on like this.
Microsoft, you ungrateful sons of bitches, you broke me. Worse than breaking the console, you broke the spirit and enthusiasm I get out of gaming. You've taken all I can possibly enjoy out of your console and consolidated it down to a $99 repair for my happiness. And you know what? It's not worth it anymore. So, you win this round Microsoft, but you have not won the war.
