DVD's gear: Revisited

I originally blogged this back in July, but I felt it was worth revisiting, because about 10 days after I posted the blog, I sold about half my DVD's, bought a PS3, and I've also have shit from Japan still laying around the house...

What better time than now to show my setup to you all?

First off, we have the consoles.

My room looks like "Doo-dad Palace" if such a place existed. I have like 8 video game controllers, a Blu Ray remote, Stereo remote, TV remote, Cable remote, bluetooth headset, XBL headset, wired headset, etc. And the cables. Oy.

So we start off simply with the core elements.

TV things. Stereo.

The TV itself. 60" HDTV. No 720p, only 1080i, so this is why I bitch about the PS3.

Facebones is good guy. eh isn't afraid of anything.

On top of my TV I have shit from Japan...

And more shit from Japan...

What's with all the sassy catgirls? Aren't there any demure ones left?

Mah Bluz

Now, some of you may be wondering... What's Blu Ray like? Is he a good guy? is eh afraid of anything?

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.

Does this look like it's worth the upgrade? I think so...

What else...

Oh, more shit from Japan.

Yes, they have Red Lobster in Japan.

And they also have robot fighting beetles.

Also, a bit of a backstory about this next picture. I grew up with a relatively normal, but scarred child hood. I received Megatron on my 7th Xmas as a big present. I had the gun, all the parts and everything on xmas morning. Then my sister got ahold of it and BROKE ALL THE ACCESSORIES! I didn't even get to have it ONE DAY and it was broken by her tyrannical nature of not letting me have nice things.

So, fast forward to now, Fenris called me up and asked me last June.

"Hey, you want an original Megatron? They're remaking originals down to the last minute detail."

Me: "Sure."

Oh, and all the accessories are there and are unbroken.

R.O.B. has issues with depth perception so he totally doesn't get Viewmaster 3D. Too bad.

And finally, I stopped by my dog's area to check (stalk) on him. He's eating. I took another 3,000 pictures of him eating, but they weren't as cute as this one was. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

The double food bowl thing... Actually one of them is full of Hank Petchow's Rat Poison, and luckily he knows the difference.

I own a FamPuter, which is a 100% fake Famicom. And I do own Super Mario Bros. and Rockman 2 for it, which you don't. :P

I'm a 34 year old gamer. I cannot hang out with most of you, and you should not contact me to buy you cheap wine or cigarettes. I do not like jail. Seriously, I own all three consoles and I don't discriminate. Gaming is for fun, not for sissy slapfights. If you consider yourself partial to a particular console, I don't care why you don't own other consoles, I don't want to hear about it. If you're going to bitch about something, you'd better bring some hard evidence of why you're complaining if you want to cry on my shoulder.

Enjoy this wonderful picture of 2 generations coming together at last...
