another mini update from the Blazer game that never reached U.S. shores, Terranigma (1995). Our focus is the appropriately named song "Call at a Port", the song that plays at the ports (duh) like the point in the game when you meet Christoph Columbus. The song is structured around a prominent six note backing that goes low-middle-low high-middle-low (with a twist in the second verse):
There is a song from 1974s japanese folk rock scene from Kaguya Hime called "お前のサンダル" (Your Sandals!?) that has a recurring six notes jingle with a similar pattern just that it is played on a piano instead of a flute:
