AFTERPARTY
Afterparty is a dialogue-based, dark comedy, adventure game that made me laugh with its choice of setting and interesting characters you meet along the way. It is the latest game from the Indie developer team, Night School, mostly know for the critically acclaimed, Oxenfree. You play as Milo and Lola, childhood best friends, trying to get out of hell by out drinking and “out partying” the devil himself, while also trying to figure out how they died.
While I started playing the game, I just wanted to finish it, but from the beginning, I enjoyed every minute of the game. The story, music, and the art style is outstanding. It’s something deeper and meaningful and mashes together its bigger questions about relationships, growing up and what it means to be a good person.
Night School has made an original game that told a personal, intriguing story that I thought was perfect. The witty humour made me chuckle every minute, from the beginning to the end, it’s an amazing game and is one of the best games I’ve played this year.
