First of all NOBODY is forcing you to read all of them at once take it 1 character at a time so it’s not overwhelming I had to do 5 each part there is 58 characters I’m not posting them individually that would be spam but I will list who is in each part. Feedback in the comments on each part thanks it does help knowing people actually read this gives me hope. This has in order Peach, Luigi, Mario/Dr. Mario, Wario and Rosalina and Luma. Everyone but Peach and Rosalina are relatively short. Rosalina is was the hardest character to fix in the whole game cause Luma is really overpowered for being so small while Rosalina has a really good moveset on her own. That character got buffs and nerfs it’s hard to explain why until we get there.
I am making these changes based on the original Smash 4 characters that’s what this was originally for. In Ultimate and this is “My” opinion is they were just twiddling their thumbs all this time all they did is very minor changes like giving someone a combo throw, very small knockback increases or decreases changing the animation of an attack slightly adjusted but works exactly the same or Marth’s (Shield Breaker) can be angled now or Captain Falcon doesn’t squeeze their skull with both hands anymore with (Falcon Dive) for some unknown reason I mean really? I do not have any of the DLC characters I don’t like any of them so I had to fix them how I saw people use them. The only major changes they made were in the (Gameplay) section.
Anyway there are a bunch of characters that are bad or over powered but they seem to just be ignoring it or they just don’t know what to do, the (Gameplay) section fixed a lot of moves. I will fix specific moves here I know this game inside and out I should have a PHD in Smash Bros I am decent at using all of them or I wouldn’t be qualified to make these changes. Every single character has a fix of some kind I’m not doing them in any particular order I’m doing them by series the first group will be the ones that are alone and have nobody else from their games I want them to keep their Customs because that’s literally all they have. I will be posting 5 characters at a time sections can be 10 pages or over 20 pages long depending on how much I had to change. You can tell when a character is struggling or overpowered because you can feel your limitations or freedom while playing as them. They need to revamp some of them completely like look at what I did with Kirby when we get there it was so obvious the stuff he could do but his moves were basically half complete like they were rushed after all this time since Brawl they didn’t think of anything? Only Zero Suit Samus and Olimar got major changes from their transition from Brawl.
The primary goal of this section is to fix Special Moves there are so many characters that just cannot use their Special Moves at all like Jigglypuff and Palutena some don’t even do what they’re supposed to or like most characters just made up, that’s what makes them unique only they have those moves that makes them special the character themselves don’t exist without Special Moves. Using only Ground and Aerial Attacks can make them only 3 types a speedy combo character, regular balanced attacker or a hard hitter that’s it. Some characters have no business being in this game they just cannot exist the mechanics don’t allow it but I did my best to help them if they are too weak or over powered I had to fix them accordingly. I fixed everyone in terms of balancing but characters I liked I made new Custom Moves for so I am biased in that way those ones have extra moves.
I prefer casual free for alls with items but I do watch competitive 1 on 1 matches my favorite players are Boss, Kiraflax, Zage, Gimr and Leffen but he only plays Melee. I have an announcement to these people that hate the “slower” Smash Bros games play with 1.5 speed it looks just like Melee. Most of the players I liked watching were forced to quit like Boss or switch to a top tier because they’re tired of losing and I don’t blame them their characters were no match for the top 5 characters in the game that can K.O at basically 0% with elevator combos or something gruesome.
In order to make these fixes I had to look at both the casual and competitive sides to make the right changes some moves will be forever bad 1 on 1 because everyone is focusing on only you there’s no one else to interfere like Ground Pounds.
I made these fixes so each character can be the best they can be and evening the playing field for top tiers instead of only 10 to 15 that’s only like 20% of the roster. It's going to come down to who has the better move sets and statistics meaning matchups. The only way to have an even 50/50 balance is if you fight the same character your using there will always be matchup problems for close ranged and long ranged characters mid range characters should have the least problems since they can deal with both because of a versatile move set. There are a couple of characters that had so much potential but they didn’t give them most of their tools like all the abilities Kirby has or all the power ups Mario and Luigi could have used for example.
I will use these below to label how I changed something. The characters with the most issues will have the longest sections making them high priority or I made some new moves for them. Some characters like Duck Hunt only need a few fixes to make them much better overall. I did the best I could and I spent most of my time on this last section and it is over 120 pages long. There were some very difficult characters to fix because they shouldn’t be here the things they can and cannot do is just retarded.
These are the labels I will combine them with a “/” if they need a fix and a change of some kind. I said this earlier but remove all Custom Moves if it is a clone we don’t need a more powerful version of a K.O move or an even weaker combo move only keep Up Specials that go higher for better recovery or lower as an attack move.
(Fix) To describe a move that needs fixing they don’t have to be bad to fix but usually I can make good moves even better or moves with potential to be good by combining their customs into the original I found myself doing that a lot like literally almost every character. This is used the most.
(Remove) When a move is so bad or over powered it's beyond fixing or I have a replacement.
(New) When I come up with a move for that character which will usually be a character I like if I don’t like them enough I’m not qualified to make new moves for them my new moves would lack effort and be incomplete because I just don’t care enough. I see it myself like when I get to the 3rd Custom that move lacks or more like I lack the enthusiasm to complete it. I hate making up moves if they don’t have enough they just don’t have enough period which are usually the character’s that got in for no reason like Wii Fit Trainer, Duck Hunt and Mr. Game and Watch their moves are just weird.
(Change) This is for changing a move completely to something better it’s usually a strong suggestion of a move from the actual game to replace a made up move, changing a moves direction input, name or a move I made to fill the hole after removing a move. I will also be using the specific moves name or I will use the type of move like (Neutral Specials) so you apply that fix to all of the moves meaning the default and customs under (Neutral Special).
(Gameplay) To assign Attack, Defense and rarely fix certain characters passive abilities or Speed. I use this on everyone but the Miis. I also describe what I fixed primarily and give my personal tier ranking from Bottom, Low, Mid High and Top Tier but I will try very hard to get everyone to at least Mid Tier.
This will be posted at the start of each part so nothing is confusing if you weren’t here by part 1.
The other side of the Triangle Princess “Peach” Toadstool. I always wondered who the Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom was maybe she is but they thought Princess sounded better? Peach and Bowser are the Queen and King to me they don’t have to be related she was raised by the Toads which is why her last name is “Toadstool” I’m guessing, Peach is the Yin Bowser is the Yang they don’t make it seem like it but they do work together Bowser’s plans usually fail without the help of Peach once he rescues her it only works the first time because he always has the element of surprise but her IQ is questionable. I think she’s the planner and Bowser commands his Minions based on her plan but these games are too easy again.
This character is extremely solid but because she exist as the Mario Sports game user Waluigi cannot exist which is sad for people that want him in even though the only sports stuff is in her Side Smash he can still make it in hope is not lost. Again just like Bowser she is Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom her only minions are Toads though so I’ll allow her to summon them she only uses them defensively though. I did everything in my power to not have her use any sports attacks just in case Waluigi does get in. For her tapped and held moves let her use either her umbrella or frying pan if rainbows and kicks don’t work out.
Just Oh my… Forget Princess she is the Queen of Combos have you seen these really good Peach players? Her Passive gives her the ability to float and use Aerials with no landing cooldown to weave in and out of range at the perfect moments, Her Throw combos are probably the best in the entire game and that Front Aerial that tiny crown might as well be a brick strongest Front Aerial in the game that isn’t like Captain Falcon or Zelda’s sweet spots. I really hate her Side Smash difficult to DI because of the changing launch angles I don’t like it I have to DI based on sound and her Dash Attack seems to beatout everybody else’s. All her Special Moves are really good including Customs some are upgrades (Peach Bomber) is the safest headbutt in the game bounces off shields really underrated has horizontal movement and K.O power, (Vegetable) is good for ledge guarding, approaching or getting in the way sorta frame trapping you, (Peach Parasol) can K.O and has amazing horizontal movement but (Toad) needs help weakest counterattack in the game. She is really low key top 10 I mean just bruh the only thing she’s vulnerable at is Vertical Recovery. Horizontal no problem and if you try to ledge guard her she can float to evade and use aerials to defend or up special to stage spike you it’s really dangerous going for a ledge guard on her when she’s below.
(Gameplay) Attack is 90% and Defense is 80%. I will be removing her ability to float it must be a Special Move or it’s not fair. She got nerfs and buffs and alot of new moves cause I do like her but hate playing against a Peach that uses Float for everything it’s just unfair. She’s looking really decent with these new moves top 10 contender if you don’t rely on Float cancels for everything. I did a really good job on her Special moveset if you ask me probably my best, better than Kirby’s.
(Remove)-(Float) Must be a Special Move this is probably the best defensive passive ability in the game right now pretty much refreshes if you flinch too.
(Change)-(Side Smash) Allow her to use a larger frying pan get rid of the sports equipment and launch diagonally like everyone else’s Side Smashes.
(Fix)-(Down Ground Attack) This is a back handed slap why does it spike? Just make it like a sweep to pop foes up to combo into an aerial this can be teched to outright ignore this move and avoid a follow up but if you miss it’s hard to DI to avoid a Front Aerial since you bounce off the ground.
(New)-(Held Neutral Ground Attack) Slashes a closed umbrella in front downwards before opening it like an attack in Super Mario RPG the Seven Stars Medium.
(New)-(Tapped Side Ground Attack) Slashes her umbrella horizontal to knock foes back Medium so she now has a reliable get off me move with range can be angled. The held version should use the high kick which is Strong.
(Fix/Remove)-(Neutral Specials) The default is the worst counterattack in the game, the custom only puts foes to sleep on the ground and the other is a weak multi hitting attack. I made new ones so remove the default and customs.
(Fix/Change)-(Toad)-(Toad Brigade) Puts her hands out to her sides to summon 2 toads 1 on each side with a shield and spear to counterattack after blocking an attack and stabbing their spears to launch or reflect projectiles on both sides Medium/Strong.
(New)-(Neutral Special)-(Toad Guard) Summons 2 toads 1 on each side with only a larger shield to block attacks and reflect projectiles they have 25% health before breaking and cannot be used for 15 seconds. Both shields health is combined just in case startup knocks foes back Medium secondary shield.
(New)-(Neutral Special)-(Parry Perry) Crouches under Perry to deflect attacks but bounces her and the opponent backwards on physical attacks has infinite health but she can be grabbed out of this strictly defensive. Based on power of the attack blocked will bounce you farther opponents do not bounce farther since they are not on the receiving end. If used in the air she will get bounced back a very far distance. This maybe the ultimate defensive move only grabs can break it and no this cannot glide when airborne. Based off her game Super Princess Peach and works basically the same way as in Super Paper Mario.
Perry has 25% health before it breaks and cannot be used for 10 seconds. The stronger the attack the further both of you are bounced. Cannot reflect projectiles but does deflect them diagonally and she gets bounced a shorter distance from projectiles. If used while airborne she uses Perry to float like her original Up Special you can attack while floating with a twirling kick Medium while active once closed you cannot reopen it. This is rare but if used on water she will use it to float like a boat like (Bowlbrella) in her game but it’s rare since water isn’t used much and I’m only referring to water from a river or ocean not the element. This is from her game Super Princess Peach and works basically the same way as in Super Paper Mario but I added an attack while airborne.
(Fix/Remove)-(Side Specials) The default is one of the best moves in the game 1 custom helps with recovery with extra knockback and the other is just shorter range but faster and weaker. The default is still the best but I don’t like cloned moves so I’ll make new ones and remove the customs.
(Fix)-(Peach Bomber) If used while airborne keep your horizontal momentum to help with recoveries. This move is really good but made up but it’s still very good it’s okay it can stay. Any female character could have had this it’s a hip bash aided by a leap forward she’s so skinny so it should hurt a lot since she’s all bones.
(New)-(Side Special)-(Psych Bomb) Charges a small Bomb-omb to throw it farther and increasing damage on impact with a foe or surface creates an explosion Medium/Strong thrown in an arc.
(New)-(Side Special)-(Perry Charge) Puts Perry in front before dashing forward to block projectiles and launch foes diagonally at a low angle Medium. If used while airborne she does a diagonal dive Medium which makes a shockwave on landing Weak. Good to charge straight through foes and block any projectiles in the way extended dash attack with a shield.
(Fix)-(Down Specials) Customs are really good but the default is better overall I fixed the default (Vegetable) and added new moves so remove the customs.
(Fix)-(Vegetable) Pulling these up takes too long but that’s okay. The only time she can do this safely against fast characters is when they are off stage and can only pull one and if she misses this move is useless. It’s extremely bad in a free for all takes so much time to pull out a single low damage projectile that has basically no knock back it’s just like Bowser’s (Fire Shot) is now no matter the damage % it just won’t launch.
To fix these should no longer vary in damage so faces don’t matter or be able to pluck other items only Turnips now she’s not a gimmick character. This should have Weak knockback dealing 5% damage and bounces off of shields and multiple foes so it’s good for a free for all and you can catch it again. No more randomness and is good in a Free for All deals more damage now and if you catch it you can keep the pressure on.
(New)-(Down Special)-(Floating Princess) This is her previous Passive but as a Special Move allows her to hover for up to 5 seconds loses height gradually unless above a surface using an attack cancels this must be on the ground to recharge passively each second like (Robo Burner) can be reactivated. You must now choose between projectile or movement.
(New)-(Down Special)-(Peaches) Eats a Peach to heal 5% damage takes awhile and slows down if spammed she’s gotta chew.
(Fix)-(Up Specials) The default (Peach Parasol) is really good but you can just spam it and has a lot of horizontal movement while (Light Parasol) is over powered because you can open it repeatedly to basically hop in the air very hard to stop you from landing or avoid it if your above her. Remove (Light Parasol) it’s too good and I’ll replace it with a new move but (Parasol High Jump) can stay.
(Fix)-(Peach Parasol) One of the best moves in the game gotta be nerfed a bit if you can even say that. While gliding if you use an attack she will do a twirling kick to knock foes back Medium if you close the parasol it cannot be reopened but should still be able to defend yourself with the removal of (Helpless Falling). Gave it an attack while floating but cannot be reopened repeatedly to cover foes above.
(Fix)-(Parasol High Jump) Allow this to be angled diagonally slightly for some momentum and while going upwards this should knock foes back Medium so she’s not vulnerable.
(New)-(Up Special)-(Twirling Princess) Twirls upwards knocking foes away a short distance before she hovers for 3 seconds with increased horizontal movement allowing her to use aerials to ledge guard before falling down but momentum in the air prevents you from moving back and forth as quickly as (Floating Princess). This recharges instantly on landing, grabbing the ledge or off a flinch. Special Moves cannot be used during try and it cancels this move.
(Fix)-(Final Smash)-(Cherry Blossom) This is probably the worst Final Smash in the game because they can wake up so fast and eat all the peaches to heal themselves this doesn’t help you at all they don’t sleep long enough and she has no Devastating K.O move to take advantage of the situation. To fix they cannot mash to wake up and should sleep for 10 seconds at the closest range and 5 seconds at the farthest range and they fall asleep when airborne as well so they can’t just jump to avoid it but put a cloud underneath them so they don’t die if over a pit. She should have a cloud underneath her as well so she floats while she does the dance too and doesn’t die. Each peach should appear around her now. This is an opportunity Final Smash you can either heal and use Smash Attacks or wait for the right moment with the right items on the screen to use instead while they are asleep. This is just hard to make effective you can’t fully charge smash attacks on everyone in that amount of time going for items would be best she doesn’t have many high damaging attacks at all. Personally I would just heal the damage immediately so they can’t steal your peaches and put everyone to sleep. This is only good if used with enough items on stage or in a team battle.
(New)-(Final Smash)-(Vibes/Mood Swings) Switches between 4 moods to increase a particular stat can be changed by using Neutral Special in a direction last 20 seconds based on Vibes in Super Princess Peach. This is a strong transformation that focuses on particular stats making them even more effective since it is one at a time not all 3, last longer and time active cannot be decreased but you can still be damaged and launched in the same way. Just a thought to replace the default Final Smash I did what I could but it’s not really helping you if they can heal off your own move and for that much health this move is like a more powerful (Monado Arts) but you don't get the recoil effects.
(Rage)-(Up) Doubles attack power makes her steam and glow red.
(Joy)-(Right) Doubles speed makes her glow yellow.
(Calm)-(Left) Doubles jump height and halves her falling speed so she can glide through the air glows green. Fast fall if you want to get down quicker.
(Gloom)-(Down) Makes her depressed glowing dark blue increasing defense by 50% and halves damage taken.
Why did Sakurai try and make him as weird as possible? He’s not lazy at all he has a lot of energy he just rather not fight he’s like Shaggy from Scooby Doo has all the energy in the world to run away from a fight. They deliberately made his Special Moves just plain awkward and some defy physics. He wears the same boots as Mario and is not as fat yet his traction is the worst in the game why? He is almost his own character but he still has a lot of Mario’s moves both in his normal and Special movesets. I will suggest some new moves but I’m not going to deep into the details. I hate the Mario Brothers only fixing them but they missed so much potential on them they could have used power ups Luigi could use Defensive while and Mario uses Offensive power ups there’s so many to choose from they could have easily gave them both full Special Movesets.
Again Mario has (F.L.U.U.D) and Luigi has a Vaccum which have other uses another thing they could have used from those unique games. I’m not touching either Mario or Luigi’s Customs they are clones or have elemental properties I will make suggestions on how to make the defaults better though. Also why don’t they use a long jump as a dash attack or at least a Side Special?
My favorite competitive player Boss mains Luigi before he quit due to Bayonetta and Cloud being in the game so I know all his tricks he can still be a top 10 character without the grab combos which shouldn’t be as easy anymore with the Combo Throw and DI changes. He’s better than Mario in a Free For all but not in a 1 on 1. Boss didn’t really use his Down Special to K.O off the ceiling I think he’s the best Luigi in the world just he doesn’t go to big tournaments so people say otherwise. Nobody can survive off stage for as long as Boss could and he creates combos on the fly and he goes deep once he starts a combo he just keeps stringing them together he can do 60% damage easily without grab true combos and can land spikes. It takes much more skill to use Luigi than brain dead Mario.
(Gameplay) Attack should be 100% and Defense is 100%. Please increase his traction he’s the only character in the entire game that can’t punish out of shield right now. Increase his air movement by 50% he has a lot of trouble recovering or moving while airborne which is where you’re going to be most of the time since most moves launch, King Dedede has it better probably.
I respect Luigi players way more than Mario’s he doesn’t auto cancel almost everything, cannot combo you for decades at any % and to land K.O blows takes a read. His recovery isn’t great and his Special Moves are less effective than Mario’s except for his Up Special K.Os early but again you can’t fish for it you need a read to connect miss and your gonna take a big hit. He’s right in the middle tier wise he needs help.
(Change)-(Side Smash) Instead of his paper jab why won’t you allow them to use their Hammers? They’ve had them since their first strategy games yet they don’t use them at all. Slams an iron Hammer down in front to launch Strong/Powerful. His paper jab has a lot of knockback for some reason I really don’t understand why.
(Fix)-(Down Smash) Do not reverse launch angles anymore Good DI gets you killed by this move and it’s still really fast and spammable slow it down add startup and cooldown time.
(Fix/Change)-(Up Smash) Like Mr Game and Watch this is the safest up smash in the game to use because it starts and ends immediately and you can reverse it so it hits in front first plus it has invincibility but the attack last longer so it could be better than his easily spammed. Either remove invincibility and double startup and cooldown time or change it to an over head hammer swing like King Dedede’s.
(Fix)-(Neutral Aerial) Make it the same as Mario’s this can K.O off the top very easily it looks exactly the same they just wanted to change the launch angle to make it “unique” like they did with his Up and Down Smash doesn’t make sense.
(Fix)-(Up Aerial) When hit in front it should launch diagonally and diagonally backwards when hit from behind so it’s harder to combo chain this attack and easier to DI away from it and avoid an Up Special finisher.
(Fix)-(Neutral Specials) This travels very slow in a straight path so it can be used as a shield to help him approach and it doesn’t launch so he can combo it into another attack since it does cause flinching but Mario’s is better because he can use it to approach from the air and ledge guard Luigi’s is more defensive but lacks the range. I’m not sure what to do here if I let it launch it’s over powered if I increase its speed to get rid of the projectile wall it’s just going to be a better projectile that can be spammed if only this was like Falco’s (Blaster) wouldn’t be so difficult to fix since he has to put it back in the holster. Okay um I think I know what to do it needs better range and speed right now it’s pretty useless other than getting in the way.
Triple its range, double its speed and based on distance traveled it’s damage decreases from 6% to 2% and sets foes on fire for 2 seconds so getting hit by this repeatedly is bad if you just absorb the damage and attack through it the longer you’re on fire taking damage overtime. Now it can get assistance from the Fire element and just for cosmetics increase the density of the Fire Ball so it looks more like in their games an orb of fire.
(Fix)-(Side Specials) He has the worst head butt in the game these types of move should be better now that Shields get pushed back but this one is extremely slow and has a random misfire as they call it for no reason. Never seen him do this ever this is completely made up. Speed this up like Pikachu’s (Skull Bash) and at full charge it automatically does the misfire cannot happen randomly anymore but decrease it’s knockback to Medium/Strong bounces off of shields and should not slide on landing anymore.
(Fix/Change)-(Down Specials) This is basically Mario’s Down Aerial but can be used to spike if they fall out or mashed for extra height. You tap this to stay at ground level and only his arms should hit launching diagonally and if you hold this you can elevate at a fixed height so it can’t be glitched by mashing like Boss does all the time launching diagonally at a low angle so it’s harder to K.O off the top blast zone.
Just a suggestion to change the move completely use his Vacuum instead of a spin attack since Mario has (F.L.U.D.D) I changed them to work pretty much completely opposite of each other this is a vacuum which sucks things towards while (F.L.U.D.D) is a hose that pushes things back. For the change he could use his Vacuum to suck foes in like a Special Grab that can be charged for up to 3 seconds to increase range and knock back based on the amount of air force sucked up giving it stronger gravitational pull. Once their stuck in the vacuum nozzle he shoots them out diagonally based on charge knockback is Medium/Strong. Uncharged range is 25% fully charged range is 75% can suck and shoot items and projectiles as well. In Luigi’s Mansion he could shoot fire balls and streams of ice or just air to blow dust away.
(Fix)-(Up Specials) Decrease knockback of the sweet spot by 25% and damage down to 20% K.Os too early and using this with his jump should not boost his vertical momentum anymore. Allow this to be angled diagonally but sweet spot has less power and after startup should have Medium knockback so it isn’t useless if you don’t hit with the sweet spot.
The top piece of the Triangle. Also known as the Mass Murderer and the reason the Mushroom Kingdom is corrupt by his Tyranny, Peach can’t do much on her own needs Bowser’s assistance. Bowser cannot beat him because he has so many drugs (Power Ups) to help him and unlimited lives. If this was for real Bowser would destroy him all he needs is 1 attack to land and its game all Mario would have is his Hammer which will slow him down and his Fireballs but Bowser is immune he literally takes bathes in Lava but he is the “Hero” they cannot lose or have a tragic ending with the exception of certain actual Heros that had to sacrifice a lot to achieve somewhat victory in through the right eyes. If somebody picks Mario I’m picking Bowser and Peach all day.
I will always hate this character because he murders my favorite animal which are Turtles called Koopas in his games The only one that even comes close to his headcount is Kirby The Black Hole. I have no idea why people like him so much and his games are one of if not the easiest ever made their fun but if you like challenge go somewhere else his 2D games the bosses you can just repeatedly stomp on them so they don’t have a chance while his strategy games you can beat no damage except for the 7 stars only his 3D games have challenge the only ones I would play. He hasn’t done anything new in over a decade yet people keep buying them usually only 1 new Power Up is made a game and that’s an if while he has or makes appearances in like over 400 games it’s just ridiculous. He’s a plumber what’s the big deal?
The only other enemies I can think of that aren’t turtles are Goombas AKA Black Toads yeah I went there, Piranha Plants, Bullet Bills, Boos and sometimes Shy Guys my favorite Mario character but he is in Yoshi’s games most of the time. I will only play his 3D games, spin off or sports games because I can use Shy Guy because he looks like Black Mage, there’s no slaughtering of turtles and I could play online very fun but I ain’t picking Mario.
You should know what I’m thinking by now they should have just made Dr. Mario and Luigi Alternates their moves are mostly identical you can change the few moves that are different into tapped and held versions and this will allow both of them to use the same Power Ups for Special Moves. Luigi definitely needs one for a Side Special his is the worst headbutt in the game. Since there is now a Dr. Luigi I guess he can use that outfit as well. By doing this fixes 3 characters in 1 and adds extra Special and Normal moves to them. Mario will now have a straight fireball, a head butt, vaccum and pills that are physical projectiles Luigi vice versa. If they do add Power Ups that’s less new moves for them to make if you keep the cap at 3 Special Moves each direction that is.
Even with that said I still would like Luigi to become his own Character someday. if they find enough new moves Luigi can stay a separate character but his normal move set is still cloned Luigi’s Vaccum and Mario’s F.L.L.U.D can be the only thing that can keep them separated they are complete opposites and both can be used in about 4 different ways.
Now for why Mario is top 10 borderline top 5. He can combo with his Up Ground and Aerial for a little under a century so about 8 decades. He only lacks recovery height but it’s for offense and it’s not like his jump height is bad he used to be called Jump Man. He has a few over powered moves between his (Cape) and (Super Jump Punch) to K.O off the top at 30% because he is capable of elevator combos into it or reverse opponents momentum without causing flinching with his (Cape) so they fall to their doom. His Front Aerial is one of the easiest spikes in the game. Remove customs all of them are better than the default and I kind of combined them again plus you need room for the Power Ups my (Gameplay) changes fixed a lot of his moves.
(Gameplay) Attack is 100% and Defense is 100%. Mario is a Combo Machine you are always at a 40% to 60% deficit based on Defense from his Down Throw, Up Ground/Aerial to an Up Smash/Special finisher. I’m like bruh nobody has as many combos as he does, he can combo off of Special Moves too and has a Spike Combo he has like no cooldown on any attacks just why… He’s always been in the top 10 borderline top 5 he’s like Captain Falcon if you can ledge guard him he’s finished. But anyway most grab and up ground/air combos can now be escaped with my (Grabs and Throws) change, Combo ability has been decreased by Weak attacks not becoming (Stale) anymore his Special Moves got buffs and nerfs. He has a lot of suggestion changes because he has so much potential like Luigi did.
(Change)-(Side Smash) Instead of a blast of fire from his palm make it a hammer slam same as Luigi’s Strong/Powerful.
(Fix/Change)-(Up Smash) Same as Luigi’s Increase startup and cool down or change it to a overhead hammer swing like Luigi’s.
(Fix)-(Up Aerial) Same as Luigi’s to prevent combos as long with SDI.
(Fix)-(Neutral Special) Make this the same as Luigi’s (Bouncing Fireball) bounces much more like it does in their games and increase the density to an orb as well. Damage should be 8% to 2% based on distance traveled decreases by 2% each bounce and has more range and can set them on fire for 2 seconds so getting hit by these repeatedly is bad. For Dr Mario’s the pill should bounce higher and can launch Weak but slow its fire rate and is physical.
(Fix/Change)-(Side Specials) This can reverse the foes controls and if you use it on an opponent that used their Up Special it’s a free descent into the abyss and in an easy ledge guarding position he never used his cape like a Matador before. This should only be able to reflect in front of it. Not items like Pac-Man's (Fire Hydrant) from above and stuff thrown from below like R.O.B's (Gyro). On impact with foes it should launch Medium to fix ledge guards. If you want the cape could be used as an Up Special like when using after a dash or Down Special as a spin attack like in the actual game this is a made up matador move basically.
(Fix/Change)-(Down Specials)-(F.L.U.U.D) has 3 other nozzles to hover, dash and rocket jump if you want 3 new Special Moves it should be obvious which directions to use them in and how they should work.
Only fixing the default nozzle the water should cause foes to flinch dealing damage while pushing them back so they can recover and allow this to be aimed in a wider range and the water to be arced meaning gravity effects it. Based on charge there should be less water so it can’t be spammed he’ll just be pumping an empty tank and if used on grounded foes or shields they get pushed back further because of water pressure.
(Fix)-(Up Specials) This is only for Dr. Mario startup should have 25% less knock back like Luigi’s and do 20% damage Strong/Medium after sweet spot Medium Knockback so it isn’t useless.
This is a good character and his games are good in this game he’s probably in to top 15 to 20 range. His Special Moves are just strange and hard to use if you don’t practice but this is another gimmick character.
His Neutral Special is a great Special Grab, Side Special is good for recovery and running foes over but only works in a free for all but the bike does nothing on landing when jumping off of it in the air for some reason and he gets it back too soon. His Down Special fart is really weird I don’t like it and his recovery Up Special can K.O off the ceiling because it multi hits. He doesn’t really have anything over powered or bad about him either he’s a rare pick so his ranking drops but his normal move set is great his Side Ground Attack can K.O he’s good on the ground and air he has the most horizontal air movement in the game I believe. Customs aren’t bad the only one I’m not sure about is (Rose-scented Waft) it looks useless only uses Poison he only has 4 fixes. His Up Smash head butt is how I want everyone else’s to work like has startup and cooldown not completely invincible.
(Gameplay) Attack is 120% and Defense is 130%. This is a really solid character he can force you to shield by hovering around you with all that air movement and attacks so much pressure kind of like King Dedede. Recovery is really good with his bike and fart combo. He can be a menace Offensively and Defensively if played right. He got buffs and nerfs really.
(Fix)-(Corkscrew and Widescrew) This should only multi hit on the ground so it cannot get ceiling K.Os when used while airborne. Just a notice (Widescrew) can really prevent people from landing since it has so much horizontal movement.
(Fix)-(Corkscrew Leap) This should still knock foes away on the way up Medium and allow some diagonal movement.
(Fix)-(Side Specials) When he jumps off his bike it should still do the same damage increasing based on distance and on impact with the ground with maximum damage it automatically breaks Weak/Strong and he should also be able to jump off while doing a wheelie so you don’t fall into the pit if off stage in that position. When it is broken or falls off stage he can’t use it again for 10 seconds to stop him from spamming this suicidal anymore. When drifting to turn around and jumps off the bike should sit there if he eats it he should automatically get it back with no delay.
(Fix)-(Down Specials) This is his unfair gimmick move. This should not charge overtime instead to charge have him eat garlic to fully charge after 5 seconds and range but can only be charged on the ground. If you tap the button twice or use when fully charged he will do the fart depending on the garlic eaten will change its range, height and power but fully charged only last 5 seconds before the charge starts depleting and can only be charged on the ground use it airborne automatically releases it Decrease knockback to Weak/Strong it’s too powerful fully charged right now it is now easier to charge but was still too strong before.
<(Rosalina & Luma)>
This was another surprise character I like her a lot but they made a blatant flaw I like the Galaxy games so I’ll make new moves for her but she’s so skinny like an Okami character. I love this character her moveset is so solid but I cannot use her since she’s over powered it’s not fair I would feel dirty if I did.
This is Ice Climbers that can separate at will, She is basically a Puppeteer and they gave Luma so much attack power even though it’s extremely small she doesn’t need to fight Luma does it all it’s a 2 on 1 in a 1 on 1. Luma is bad in a Free for All dies very easily but Rosalina herself still has a really good move set but she cannot use half her Special Moves since Luma is required. Competitively by giving Luma so much attack they conditioned people to rely so heavily on Luma they literally run away until Luma comes back very annoying to play against. She can fight on her own fine and has a wide attack range difficult to avoid most her attacks. Luma can also be used as a projectile shield and pretty much doubles damage and knockback since they mimic each others individual attacks get hit by both of them hurts a lot. Luma also has more range Rosalina may miss but Luma will hit. Even if she is stunned, grabbed or in hit stun Luma can still attack to interrupt anything it’s ridiculous if Luma is around you can’t combo Rosalina because Luma will be in the way always.
It’s all about Luma if I zero in on Luma I fix the entire character and allow her to use Special Moves without Luma. This was the hardest character to fix she would be top 5 if the DLC characters didn’t exist I think I did a good job their outright offense is weaker but they are much more versatile.
(Fix)-(Gameplay) Rosalina’s Attack is 70% and Defense is 80%, Luma’s Attack is 50% 25% health while combined their Attack is 120%. I’m basically going to combine them so they do single more powerful blows when together and Luma is going to be much weaker when apart from Rosalina. Rosalina should have a gravity Aura around her to catch Luma to recombine automatically or save them if they cannot recover so you don’t have to wait.
(Fix)-(Luma) Should not be in front anymore to her side now when together and Luma cannot be damaged unless apart. Luma has extra hit stun so combos cannot be interrupted and if Rosalina cannot act Luma can’t either.
When apart Luma can use a mini Launch Star to recover but cannot grab ledges and cannot be grabbed once on stage rushes back to Rosalina cannot attack until it reaches her. Luma’s Attack is 50% and has 25% health if Luma is K.Oed it takes 15 seconds to get Luma back but recovers 1% health every second Luma is together with Rosalina still has to be on the ground though. Luma does not have a shield and cannot dodge only when together can they do that.
When they are together Luma does not attack instead amplifies Rosalina’s moves to strengthen her magic for a single more powerful blow by combining their Attack so it will be increased to 120% when together and this prevents Luma from interrupting combos or grabs. This should do the trick.
(Fix)-(Neutral Ground Attack) They need a new jab when together now that Luma mimics her when together maybe a twirling small galaxy then burst to launch Medium? When apart the combo should not advance Luma does a rapid spin attack before launching does not move forward anymore this is a big problem right now in terms of positioning Luma for a Pincer Attack.
(Fix)-(Up Ground Attack) The halo should come from below so it can hit grounded foes on both sides on the way up.
(Fix)-(Up Aerial) This is basically like Clouds it last forever and has decent knock back easy to spam. Decrease it’s time by half and the Halo starts from below so it’s harder to hit with.
(Fix)-(Down Aerial Attack) The late hit should launch diagonally instead of horizontally this kills characters with bad recoveries and should be more of a stomp so halve the time it’s active so it doesn’t linger as long it’s a weak spike but its active for a long time hard to avoid.
(Fix/Remove)-(Neutral and Side Specials) and (Side Specials) Switch Neutral and Side Specials around remove customs making new moves and improving defaults.
(New)-(Neutral Special)-(Star Bit Stream) Hold the button to shoot a continuous stream of star bits that don’t cause flinching and can be aimed by controlling up and down 2% damage each. This is basically if you hold the button in the game to shoot multiple star bits. This should be the default Neutral Special.
(Fix)-(Star Bit) This move is useless because of how low range it has it’s basically a very weak jab I’m combining (Floaty Star Bit) and (Shooting Star Bit) into 1 to make a good projectile. Charges for up to 3 seconds making a single star bit bigger and at full charge the star bit is rainbow colored penetrating through foes Weak/Medium. Travels the same distance as (Shooting Star Bit) only 1 can be active at a time and charging increases its speed and power fully charged penetrates.
(New)-(Neutral Special)-(Spin Attack) Spins to knock foes away and if used while airborne gain a little height Rosalina’s is Medium Luma’s is Weak they can do it at the same time can reflect projectiles. If combined this can be charged from Medium to Strong over 3 seconds if on the ground. Don’t know why they didn’t already have this it was a no brainer the signature move of the Galaxy series of games I thought they would at least have a normal attack of this kind. It’s a defensive move can help with recovery slightly should keep momentum when used.
(Fix/Change)-(Luma Shot)-(Launch Star Shot) Creates a small launch star spinning while charging before launching for a powerful headbutt. If Luma is gone she should launch herself for more knockback and for horizontal recovery if Luma reappears during Luma just joins her no added attack power. Luma penetrates through foes Weak/Medium while Rosalina is Medium/Strong bouncing off of foes this is basically a head butt but it was too powerful before. This is now the Default Side Special can be charged for 3 seconds before automatically launching.
(New)-(Side Special)-(Universal Dash) Charges for up to 3 seconds before lunging forward launching opponents in the way Weak/Medium travels 25% to 50% the distance of a form stage. Both Rosalina and Luma dash so if you can manage to get Luma on the other side you can create a Pincer Attack.
(Fix/Change)-(Luma Warp)-(Galaxy Warp) This should be charged for up to 3 seconds to change the distance Luma will be warped instead of just popping up in your face so suddenly. Also when Luma appears it should do a flip kick like Greninja’s (Shadow Sneak) Medium and be angled forwards or backwards to knock foes away or towards Rosalina to combo sounds like the perfect move for them. If Luma is gone warps herself instead the flip kick is Strong now a Side Special.
(Remove)-(Gravitational Pull) This is the most over powered move in the game against item characters and extremely effective in a free for all she can pull all the items towards her. She can jump around the stage and keep all the items because it has that much range. I tested this with the Super Scope item which has the fastest fire rate in the game I believe. No shots get through if you just spam this so it's literally a projectile barrier because it lingers for so long. The only down side this move has is it doesn't have any form of attack on it so it's useless against foes without projectiles. This move is broken against item characters and literally has no cool down or startup since none of the shots got through. I made (Spin Attack) to replace this I have better fair customs so remove this.
(New)-(Down Special)-(Recall) Calls Luma back to her with gravitational pull to save Luma if they fall off stage or is in danger while Luma is being recalled has super armor. A move to save Luma and combine again distance does not matter should be the new Default.
(New)-(Down Special)-(Puppeteer) Only Rosalina can use this. Makes Rosalina meditate which allows her to control Luma entirely. Cannot control Rosalina while using so she’s vulnerable, if Luma is K.Oed or she is hit or cancels this manually by using Down Special again she snaps out of it and Luma returns. If Luma is gone you cannot use this.
(New)-(Down Special)-(Galaxy Shield) Creates a starry galaxy shield to block attacks has 25% health and can be pushed back and broken Both Rosalina and Luma have this shield shared health. If broken can’t use for 15 seconds and startup knocks foes back Medium. Now Luma has a shield too but cannot be grabbed only broken.
(Fix)-(Launch Star) This should have to be charged instead of launching her instantly to adjust the distance, speed and the angle she is launched in while charging falling speed is decreased. She has one of the best recoveries in the game because it can be angled, travels very far and is fast because it doesn’t have to charge you can’t exactly ledge guard her.
(Fix)-(Launch Star Attack) This should knock foes away when airborne but you can click Special again to do the kick manually for more knockback. Faster stronger recovery but has significantly less range. I had to change this to prevent ceiling K.Os since you could carry them to the top blast zone.
(New)-(Up Special)-(Universal Warp) Teleports a long distance in any direction reappearance has Medium knockback safest and fastest recovery move.
(Fix)-(Final Smash)-(Power Star) This is only bad if you can’t throw them into it and can be ran away from but if they are caught early they can take around 80% damage which is over powered. The big star should have strong gravitational pull and when trapped inside the star bring the opponents to the center so they don’t take additional damage from the smaller stars and lower its maximum damage to 20% while inside it covers the entire stage with the shooting stars. The shooting stars should come from above diagonally towards the Power Star to help knock foes closer instead of pushing them away which is not what you want right now. The explosion at the end should have Strong knockback.
