JuIc3 update....UpduIc3? JuIdate. Eh.
Hello all! It's been a good while since I wrote...really anything over here, so I thought I'd make an update. For funsies and things of the sort. That up there is a picture of me conducting one of my middle school choirs in my home town. Believe me, they aren't as calm and collected as the picture makes them look.
But yes, music education has been good. Of course my wife (Malika) and I are raising up our daughter to the best of our abilities. Our activities include dancing along to Earth Wind and Fire, as well as tummy time, bazooka baby, binge watching kawaii anime, and of course reading bed time stories at night.
Life is good! Being a dad has certainly brought challenges to the table. Obviously I can't sit down and spend hours on in playing video games anymore. I also have to balance my free time with the Mrs. so that we don't go crazy. Teamwork is everything here. But we have a lot of fun and are enjoying the experience.
Of course I'm still devoting myself to gaming and being a smelly weeb. I actually write over at Culture of Gaming, an up and coming site that's continuing to grow. I work with some great guys! I've really enjoyed writing over there and getting to know the team. It works well, because they understand that I'm busy being a dad and teaching. I do still get my hands on some awesome projects, though!
I don't know how many of you have heard of Eon Gaming, but I got to do an interview with them. They are the makers of the GCHD, an HDMI converter for the GameCube that displays games in progressive scan and allows you to customize visual output. Really cool group, and I enjoyed working with them a ton. There's no better way to play Melee and get the real experience.
There's a ton of really good anime coming out lately. Cells at Work, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Goblin Slayer, Zombie Land Saga, The Promised Neverland, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, I mean shoot I could go on. I've had a lot of time to take care of my daughter at home, making it possible to binge my way through all of Dragon Ball Super. It was...alright.
Gotta love Fry Day. Anyway, all bodes well! Staying busier than ever, but enjoying every moment. Hope you all are still enjoying video games, spewing liquids at each other, and having a good ol' time!
P.S. I'm going to miss Reggie's big, meaty Nintendo loving face so much.
