So I was going through my pictures folder the other day looking for a particular screencap when I realized I've capped a lot of awesome comments from around the web over the years. In this one-time special inspired by Dreamweaver and his Comments of the Week forefatehrs, I'll be highlighting the best comments I've seen from around the web. Unfortunately, I have no source or context for most of these, but they've been I've been holding onto them for years, so whatever. You know the drill!
TRUTH: You've got it set to "M" for mini, when it should be set to "W" for wumbo.
LOL: Once there was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everyone died. The end.
WUT: The inner machanations of my mind are an enigma.
I actually have the context of this one. It came from the announcment trailer of Resogun, and apparently there was a fight going on for and against indie games. Meanwhile, this dude drops a truth bomb. I don't know who El Vick is, but if he's an inspiration to this guy maybe he should be an inspiration to us all.
This is the most accurate description of Nintendo that I've ever seen.
I don't know if you guys are familiar with the work of Hotdiggedydemon, aka Max Gilardi, but he's probably my favorite independant animator. The quality of his work singlehandedly puts entire studios (like Studio Yotta) to shame. I mean, I didn't think it was possible for me to like the guy any more than I already did and then he goes and says this.
Well, clearly he... uh... fuck. Why isn't he the king of all Saiyans?
There are two things I love about Mr. Hill's response here. One is the eloquence with which it is written, something you don't often see on the internet. The second is how damn true this is.
MonocledYaoGui deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for the most level-headed comment I've ever seen.
I need "Wenches of Karate" to be real, like, right now.
The comment that inspired this whole thing to begin with. Internet usernames make everything better.
This is the internet in a nutshell.
I don't know why this made me laugh so much. Maybe it's the combination of the guy's comment with his avatar.
It's too bad he struck out in the end.
Also, props to the guy from Joystiq with the Dr. Doomface avatar.
A review I found once on Rate My Professor. Needless to say, I avoided this class.
this is just an example that the comment doesn't have to be the ultra best to get entertained :)
Predictions of how the Gears 3 Carmine poll would turn out. Comic books are so stupid, you guys.
Also, does anybody know what happened to this guy?
This is actually relevant again considering the upcoming PlayStation Plus price hike.
In all my years of shopping on Amazon, I don't think I've ever come across a review this helpful.
Duke Nukem Forever was finally getting released, and Duke was all out of gum.
This comment brought to you by another long-lost Dtoid contributer.
And speaking of Dtoid, here's a recent comment that I said was so good I wanted to print it out and frame it on my wall. Well done, GoofierBrute.
Sometimes I wonder if this guy did anything with his life before dying of old age.
I'm not sure how you could be aware of this show while simulaneously being surpirsed at what it is.
I pointed out to this guy that I liked his appreciation for long-lost Nicktoon Pelswick, but I wasn't quite expecting this response. I... have so many questions.
I've seen a lot of lame excuses to get YouTube followers, but I have to at least admire this guy's creativity.
What even is the power of power? It sounds pretty powerful. I have a hard time believing it's not the most powerful power.
RIP in pepperoni, Cheetos. I cri evrytiem.
Well that deescalated quickly.
Anyone who can make sense of this is either a true genius or very insane.
And that'll do it for the first and probably only Comments of the Web. Thanks for joining me as we learned that YouTube commenters are completely nuts. It'll be years from now if I ever make another one of these, so don't be looking forward to it!
