Many people have asked me this question over the years, and I give them the same response every time they ask. This is the final time I will answer the question to anyone (I also got asked this question on other entertainment websites). In a movie, what is more important? Box office results? Or the reviews?
Quite frankly some stupid people who follow and are obsessed with movies don't even take a look at the box office results of their favorite franchises (such as Transformers, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Pirates of the Caribbean), and whilst each one of these franchises has had at least one bad movie (Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides, MCU - Thor: The Dark World (sorry), and Transformers - pretty much every one of them but then again, people will say to me that Number 1 was good and the fact is the second time I watched it, I just hated it), but why do these franchises exist? Because of the money, franchises exist or have existed like Star Wars, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and its because of the money that films get sequels and in today's cinema, people are demanding sequels more than ever, and boy do franchises get annoying than ever after you hear that the franchise's seventh sequel has been announced (Fast & Furious), but it got the money, and that is why it got it. What quite frankly pisses me off, is that if a poorly reviewed movie gets a sequel, people whinge about it and think that it is the end of the world. In Fast & Furious' case, there shouldn't have been Fast Five, because A: the first four films were not entertaining and the box office wasn't that great either. I'm the type of person that can handle one or two sequels to bad films, but three or four is a huge risk in my eye, particularly if the first film didn't get much money in the box office. Vin Diesel is not doing Fast 8, 9 and 10 and a bunch of prequels, as well as spin-offs because of the money, but rather because he likes producing and acting in "fast-paced" movies. Yes, the reviews have been great for the last two films, as well as the majority of the Marvel films since 2005 (let's forget the Fantastic Four films) but the money is where it counts (should Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy had not gotten a huge load of money, Phase Three may not exist). It's like games and their consoles: should people not buy their consoles or games, what's the point of making more?

I haven't been active lately as I have been caught up in some stuff that I didn't expect to happen, and it came up at the last minute. I have been trying to release this post (that has been in my archives since September) for over a week. I have been working flat out at people's houses ever since I put my last post and I do apologize for this post not coming earlier like planned. I am hoping to release two final posts in 2015 (one before Christmas and one before the New Year), before doing a few posts in the first month of 2016. Thanks
