Umm...apparently I have an Xbox 360 to add to my G3 raffle

Yesterday started out as probably the most depressing day I've had in a while. I had come down from the euphoria of completing the marathon, and I had finally realized one thing. I had not reached my goal by about 1/2.

That's not to say I wasn't grateful, god no. Ya'll don't know how much I was beating my chest when I found out every team mate on my squad had made their goal.

My issue was that I had only gotten half way there, and I had made a personal promise to only raffle off these codes if I hit it. Honestly, I really never expected not getting there. What really depressed me more was when I looked at the team scores. My team was in 3rd place. This really didn't sit well with me because I know the numbers events like this can pull in. I marathoned alongside Tactix when Dtoid raised $6000.

This is smaller, but I dunno, I was really dreading emailing developers like Mommy's Best and Sega and telling them I couldn't accept their games. I made a promise and my word is my bond (especially in events like this). I can't give anybody those codes. I simply can't.

I could however give all of my codes out. I promised that if I hit my goal I would do a Monday raffle.

So I took to twitter and made a little push to hopefully get somebody else. I asked Jim Sterling, I asked Chad Concelmo, I asked Jonathan Holmes for retweets. Still nothing though. Then a couple hours later, donations started coming in. Slowly, but the end game was I now sit at $838.28 now.

Then this happened.

See, when I was gathering up donations, I hit every contest I could find for a chance at offering up donation items. When @Xbox tweeted a MAX PAYNE 3 Console contest, I wrote THIS. My day went from one where I had only the things I could scavenge to give you to one where I could give you something I knew you wanted.

You guys donated, you guys helped and I don't want another Xbox. I want you to have one. Note: I realize this feels too good to be true, but I'm ecstatic about this. Like I sang yesterday on my drive home. Here I was feeling terrible for failing you all when I woke up. Now I'm on cloud freaking 9.

I still haven't made my goal of $1000 to raffle off the codes donated to me from some great developers, but as soon as I get confirmation that this Xbox is coming to me...I'm going to start drawing names from every donator.

Good people donated to help reduce the cost of care for sick children. Damn right I'm giving you all an Xbox.

Thanks to everyone who not only donated to me during G3, but that donated yesterday too. I love you people.

I honestly don't know how to segway after that, so here's a kitty.

Alright, mush stuff aside...I still don't want to tell Sophie Houlden that after I played her game live for hours (cause it was FUN), that I have to return all the codes. SO, call this a last push. Whatever, I want to give ya'll these.

I still have these to give out to everyone:
