Lost in the shuffle amongst all this big-budget, Tokyo Game Show noise, Dan Fornace's Game-Boy-esque Smash Bros. demake, Super Smash Land
, was released in its final form today, 9/14. Judging by the comments on the home page, there may still be a few bugs that need working out, but hey, it's free, and you should totally donate because it's great.
Alongside this retro throwdown, you can get your hands on the game's soundtrack
, as well as some bonus tracks
from the game's hidden stages and trailer, which deserve at least a few cents thrown at them when you name your price for downloading as well.
It's great to see a fan project like this actually come together and see the light of day, especially when it's based on one of my favorite properties.
