Alright, so I'm going to make this quick and dirty. I dropped by my local EBGames today, thinking to pre-order Gears of War 3 so I could send a beta code out to a friend. No dice, since the codes are already all gone, but I figured that since I was there, I'd browse.
Now, I've had a PSP for a while. But my little brother's been bugging me for one, and I've been refusing because I've got the impulse control of a child already, and recklessly spending for one is generally my limit.
However, EBGames has on, right now, the greatest freaking deal of all time.
Pick up 2 used games worth $19.99 or more, and you get $50 off the console. Which, in layman's terms, means that if you pick up two games, the cost for the following consoles is:
Used PSP 1000 : $29.99
Used PSP 3000 : $39.99
Used PSP Go : $99.99 (yeah, fuck that noise)
Used Nintendo DS-lite : $49.99
I don't know what the price for a used DSi or DSi XL is, but take $50 off that and you've got your price. Honestly, I couldn't pass it up. My brother is now the proud owner of a used PSP 3000 as well as Phantom Brave. Once I used my EBGames Edge card on top of that, the whole package wound up coming to, like, ninety bucks tops.
Now, I don't know if this just applies to Canada. I picked this package up in a Toronto EBGames, so it might not even apply to GameStop stores and may be an EBGames brand-specific deal, but if you've been on the fence about portable gaming, this is your opportunity to give it a shot at a dirt cheap price.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a used copy of Duodecim to go play.
