A Compulsive Collector's Haul - I <3 Cash Converters & Goozex + Guides Edition!

Well hello thar folks! Itís time for yet another edition of A Compulsive Collectorís Haul! So, this time we have some mad love for Cash Converters since I got a couple of rare and coveted games Iíve been looking for. Goozex is pretty kickass for that as well. We also have a ton of guides Iíve been collecting over the last few months. Also, I suggest you get involved in the Trading Forums if you want a chance to get a hold of some SUPER AWESOME stuff I got from Cash Converters for trading! With that said, Iím still HELLA behind on updates, so letís get to it!

*NOTE* This is an accumulation of games that Iíve obtained over the past 2 Ė 3 months . . . possibly 4 . . . >_<

Here we have some ďnormalĒ love for Cash Converters. I picked up Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on PSP, so now I own both versions of the game. We also have an in box Tetris 2, Dune 2000 due to my mad love of Westwood (the creators of the Command & Conquer series, and Rad Racer. Note how I totally italicized the game names like Jonathan Ross said you should do if you want your blog promoted? Hahaha! Jokes my friends, jokes!

We have more awesomeness from Cash Converters once again. Honestly, if it werenít for that place, I honestly think my collection would be half of what it currently is. Here we have 3 GameBoy games and 1 GameBoy Color game, in the form of: Dr. Mario, Kirbyís Dream Land, Tetris Attack, and the ever elusive Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Taraís Adventure.

THIS is why I freaking LOVE my Cash Converters! I owe my kickass friend and occasionally Asian wannabe Diamond Dave for these gems and the ones in the next picture! I guess I also owe James a bit of credit as well! =D We have a $10 copy of Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, one of the harder Harvest Moons to find. We also have a game that isnít complete, which usually means I donít pick it up, but $15 for a disc and manual Suikoden II, which is one of the rarest and most coveted games for the PlayStation, how can you say no? Much love and thanks guys! ^_^ But wait . . .

Awww yeah! =3 This picture is also all from Cash Converters! Thanks once again to my mates! d(Ď-Ďd) These games are ALL UP FOR TRADE in my Trading Forum thread, Funktasticís Trading Fortress! Iíve revamped my games I have for trading and added a whole boatload of games that people are hopefully interested in. If you havenít checked it out yet, I suggest you do so now. Especially if youíre interested in games like: Suikoden, Tales of Destiny II, Chrono Cross, Legend of Mana, and Wild Arms, you better start making me offers! ^_^ Also, donít feel intimidated! While I do collect a crapload of games, Iím still looking for a LOT of things.

Okay, so Goozex is hella sweet as well, especially since I got ANOTHER copy of one of the rarest/most coveted PlayStation RPGs from it as well! Here we have an in box Dragon Warrior (replacement for my cartridge only copy), Golden Axe, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (another replacement for a cartridge only copy). Oh wait? Whatís the game I skipped over? In a matter of like 1.5 weeks, I got ANOTHER copy of Suikoden II, only this one was complete and like absolutely mint! Seriously! Join Goozex now and if you have patience, you can have gems like these!

Here is the start of a number of guides Iíve picked up over the last few months. First off, we have a guide for a game I donít even own yet, Mario & Luigi: Bowserís Inside Story, followed by the guides for Dawn of Mana and Heroes of Mana.

The Tales of Vesperia guide was picked up for me at Otafest by my bud Grimstar, while both Volumes 1 and 2 of the [i]Pokťmon HeartGold & SoulSilver Versions[i] guides were picked up from the significantly inferior Canadian Amazon website, just like pretty much every other guide.

Here we have a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers guide and a God of War III (Ultimate Edition) guide sandwiching a Dreamcast Rumble Jump Pack that I picked up from PAX East that I recently rediscovered in my clusterfuck of crap I still need to catalog . . . >_<

Nothing special here. Just a couple more guides, with the first one a bit harder to find. Theyíre for Grant Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned and Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From Liberty City.

Here we have some t-shirts that I either ordered or was given as promo items. I picked up the ďChoose Your WeaponĒ t-shirt from TeeFury when they had it up for sale, then we have promo t-shirts from EB Games for ModNation Racers and UFC 2010 Undisputed. Take note of the former, as it has Kratos as a bonus character or something?

Finally, we have a God of War III promotional t-shirt that Best Buy was giving away for those who attended their midnight launch, only I just got it from a friend instead, therefore saving me time, hahaha!

Well, that does it for this edition. Iíve got a long weekend since itís Canada Day, so I plan on trying to completely catch up on my backlog of stuff to post. Expect a milestone edition for my next one, then another one of games, a pure swag one, and a console/hardware exclusive one sometime too. Until next time, latez mates.

About Funktasticone of us since 3:12 AM on 05.12.2008

I'm FUNKTASTIC yo! ^_^

Now that that's out of the way, my name is Jon and I'm from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I'm currently going to University studying Business. I have probably one of the BIGGEST collections of video games that most people will ever see, and my collection of "swag/promos/standees/collectables/soundtracks" is MASSIVE. I'm currently at around 1,500 games, of which I truly enjoy or have bought for collector's value. I also own some of the rarest collectables around.

Some of my favorite games are: Final Fantasy X, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Jet Grind Radio, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, Goldeneye, Okami, Shenmue II, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Kingdom Hearts II, The World Ends With You, Breath of Fire III, Final Fantasy VI, Perfect Dark, Bubble Bobble, Chrono Trigger, and Beyond Good & Evil.
