I don't know about the rest of you, but I just love all sorts of games. From music games to RPGs to hack'n slashes to racing games, I think I've enjoyed at least one game per genre. However, this doesn't mean that I'm good
at all of them. Oh no, it's quite the contrary. I would even go as far to say there's only a few types of games I'm actually really good at. But, out of everything, there's one type of game I keep going back to again and again, only to have my geek-ego crushed at how terribly I suck.
Shmups. Shoot'em ups. Shooters. Bullet-Hell. Whatever you wanna call them. Those things that look like Galaga on drugs.
So, in conclusion, I will probably continue to pine over my unrequited love, continue to plug hours and hours trying to get better at memorizing bullet patterns, and who knows? Maybe it'll pay off, someday. Oh, yeah, and I'm totally buying DeathSmiles day one, no matter how terrible I am at it. :]
As a reward for sticking through my rambles and whining, I offer you all a chance to speak your mind in the comments in response: Have you had experiences like this? What games are you terrible at, but can't seem to give up trying to play?
Thanks for reading. <3
