Ah, here's the big feature for me. I popped in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (which seemed to have some slowdown at times, so I'm curious as to how it will improve). I use a computer monitor to play games, so my 360 resides very close to me. Because of this, I have to listen to the loud disc spinning very often. Hopefully this will fix that problem. After 8 minutes, my game has installed. Not bad at all, in my opinion.
The game still seems to hang in the usual places, but maybe not for quite as long. I can't really tell if the load times are much faster, but the 360 does run a lot quieter, at least. I do remember reading that the installs will help older games more than newer ones, so I'm okay with the results.
Final Thoughts All in all, the New Xbox Experience is kinda neat. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. I'll likely use the guide button dashboard much more than the NXE one, so I guess that should sum up my feelings for it. Maybe I'll get used to it in time, but for now, I think I'm more enamored with the game installs and higher resolutions than the actual look and feel of the dashboard.
