Sounds pretty silly to me, to be honest. They just threw two unrelated concepts together and trusted in our love of the absurd to sell it.
Well, these guys proved it. Dinosaurs can make anything sound awesome.
I wonder what they have in-store for after this release. It will probably have to do with a T-Rex. And possibly a pterodactyl. With police cars. A nice buddy-cop-dinosaur game.

Except that Velociraptor Safari was some of the genuine best fun I've had in ages, Birdseye. Simple, functional, and dinosaur-smackingly elegant. So, it's more than concept smashing. It's fucking fun.
Wow, just wow, I love the world so much. Please dear God can we get more of these games immediately. Perhaps a Dinosaur FPS that has no humans and is just dinosaurs and guns?

I like stupid shit as much as the next person, but I can't help but think they are playing on what is "cool" these days to get your clicks for advertising revenue, kind of like those stupid Crazy Frog ringtones you see on TV.

Thanks for the interest in the game. Believe me, we do realize how silly/awesome it is. And we didn't really intend to immediately do another dinosaur game, but a certain whiteboard sketch of a jetpack brontosaurus just sat there, day after day, taunting us. Eventually we decided it was too obvious to pass up.
We're aiming for similar schedule as Raptor Safari (which was 8 weeks). Look for more info to show trickle on to the official site: jetpackbrontosaurus.com
On beta--we'll likely just emailing active Safari players when it comes time to run some people through the game...

I agree that their other games are good too. Splume was really clever, and different enough that I don't consider it a Bust-a-Move knockoff.
