Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

There are good ideas for games, and then, there are GREAT ideas for games. Zombie Driver falls into the latter category, as it takes the somewhat overdone zombie genre and drops in an awesome new twist -- instead of shooting zombies down with a gun, you can run them down in a car. Hence the title. Um,AWESOME.

Exor Studios recently announced the title, which is coming to PC next month. Featuring 17 story missions, 6 different unlockable cars and the ability to mount all said cars with titanic guns, this definitely looks like something to look forward to. Check out the new trailer and screenshots for now and we'll keep you posted as we find out more. Why is killing people that are already dead so addicting?

"...the somewhat overdone zombie genre..."

Understatement of the century.

At this point I'm fully expecting a Dead Or Undead Xtreme Beach Volleyball.

No, we really don't need any more zombie games. REALLY. Once Dead Rising 2(the sequel to, ironically, the game that jump started this whole zombie video game craze) comes out, this needs to END. END. FOREVER.

@ Zombutler

My last comment was completely sarcastic :) The "Really?" was in response to the game, not Colette. I should have made that more clear.

Blake knows what he's talking about. ZVA was amazing, it didn't have guns but it was definitely better than this. Value 2000 series FTW!

Reminds me of Quarantine. Which is not a bad thing.

I say, more zombies.. always.

Look, maybe you youngsters think this is some hip new fad (which it is for you) but to the rest of us who have had the absolute SHITS in regards to zombies for damn near our entire lives... we are taking WHAT we can get WHEN we can get it before everyone forgets about them and moves on to romanticizing vampires.

I prefer the vampires that you killed, not the ones that tweens fall in love with.

Zombieland was fun on the bun. Once a certain ghostbuster entered the picture, it got crazy.

I too saw zombieland and agreed that scene ruled but why be a douche and spoil it for everyone who hasn't seen it yet? Give it a few days...

...also, saying there are too many zombie games/movies is like saying there is too much air to breathe.

At first I was going to comment on how you can't realistically run over dozens of zombies in a car but then they showed the car with rocket launchers and flamethrowers so I don't think I really need to.

In some countries they renamed the pedestrians in Carmageddon zombies, today people rather hit zombies than pedestrians.

"Why is killing people that are already dead so addicting?"
that really annoys me the word is addictive, addicting is a stupid made up non word use a spellcheck if you have trouble with the english language. you ask why people love killing the undead it is because it is the only time killing another human being comes without any moral compunctions, as in even if the other person you kill is evil they are still a human being, zombies are just meat puppets so killing them is just cool

My PC couldn;t handle this, most likely. An XBLA release would be amazing.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/addicting

i know this and my last post are probably in vain but if at least a couple of people take in what i type then at least there will be a one or two less people on the net using that stupid nonsense word

^ Improve your punctuation and grammar before complaining about the literary skills of someone else.

Adding 'ps I still love you' doesn't make you any less of a tool.

PS: Not to mention her use of the word was technically not incorrect. Just not standard.

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/addicting

Going by British English, her comment was not at all incorrect.
