Zaxxon Escape is out now on Google Play

Growing up, Zaxxon was one of my favorite games that I didn't have. I had a ColecoVision and the game released for that console, but it just never found its way into my home and I was always a little bit jealous of a friend who did have a copy. Even if it weren't a rather unique shoot-em-up for the time, more about avoiding collisions than killing enemies, the name alone was awesome for a kid whose last name didn't share a first letter with a whole lot of words (probably why I'm such a fan of the Zik-Zak Corporation too)

Sega is pulling on my nostalgia leash pretty hard here with Zaxxon Escape, a fast-paced chase game where the player must escape the exploding Zaxxon fortress through twisting passages and narrow gaps. Looks like fun to me.
