On the subject of Medal of Honor getting a playable demo, executive producer Greg Goodrich told GameTrailers, "We'll have something out there for people to try and play." Always nice to hear, but in the case of MoH, it's even better; many of us have long forgotten about the series.
While modern-day first-person shooters are obviously the hot new thing for the genre these days, Goodrich had a choice quote about why the team at EA Los Angeles wanted to make this type of game:
"We never really sat down and said 'hey we want to be in Afghanistan, we want to be modern' -- it was just 'hey this is a story we want to tell and these guys [Tier 1 Operators] are pretty interesting and it's compelling."
Medal of Honor should be one of the more interesting releases this fall, that's for damned sure. Personally, I'm dying to see how similar (or different) the single-player will be from the multiplayer, since DICE is handling the latter.

Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I can't see any positives for the player having differences in hit detection and the look/feel of the game.
Anyone who believes that is preeeeeeety damn naive.
I'd rather have a story where the Native Americans violently revolt to reclaim the land stolen by the Americans by secretly infiltrating key positions inside the government and military. Thanks to the infiltration and acquired nuclear weapons, and appealing to the American public and portraying the government as white imperialists who had it coming, the Native Americans now control over a third of the United States with only the South and East coast under American control. Things are now desperate and America's only hope is a squad of misfits!
I would like to see MoH set the bar high for FPS games again. I still remember firing up the first MoH and being blown away by the production values.
I can't wait to see how this turns out.
No akimbo. I can't repeat it enough if any DICE people cruise these threads.
NO AKIMBO.
That would make for one awesome RPG, actually.
