YTMND Thursday: We now return you to your normally scheduled program photo

After taking a small break last week, YTMND Thursday is back. This week's selection is a little smaller than usual, but at least I'm not skipping a week again. The extra helping of Random Man Now Dogs should make up for the smaller selection of videogame-related YMTNDs.

My favorite this week is videogames in real life. It's so damn well done. Thanks to Qalamari for the assist. What are your favorites this week? If you find any good YTMNDs, send them in to tips!

Also, we've been toying with a contest related to YTMNDs. We want to see Destructoid-related YTMNDs, but the thing is, I can only think of two people that would actually rock the contest (CannibalCalvin and Bleep). If we were to do a Destructoid-themed YTMND contest, would you enter? I want to see the response before we roll with a contest like this, so leave a comment on what you think of the idea.

Random Man Now Dogs: Jessica Alba gets scarred. Jurassic Park, abridged. The future of our world.

Er, to be a little more specific, I want to know if more than 2 people here can even work with YTMND.com, lol

Cobra: Honestly, I have never messed with YTMND so I have no real idea. I figured it's simple enough but my main concern is seeing how many people would be willing to do it.

Its essentially "Upload a sound, upload an image, give it a title."

I can't visit YTMND fully as i refuse to install quicktime as it is a right bitch on a system and screws with stuff.

I use quicktime alternative for media player classic instead which is not intrusive, however it does not work on that site with firefox browser.

I can't understand anyone who uses Quicktime realplayer, it is so annoying and hard to get rid.

I use quicktime alternative and YTMND works fine in Firefox 3. Are you using Noscript?

Hahaha that jessica alba one! Death Wish Mario was awesome too.

I'd do a YTMND contest if there was one.

@ zeroword....

Actualy I have tried it for the 1st time under firefox 3 (I suppose I should of done that before posting earlier to double check) and you are right it does work.

I always had problems before with previous versions simply asking to install quicktime all the time.

Thanks for letting me know.

P.S. I did used to use noscript previously too but I don't think it was that however as I think I remember I got sick of it and set it to allow everything and only switched it back on from time to time when I thought I may be stepping on to dodgey territory.

You can also use the mozilla plugin available upon install of VLC media player. It was sort of quirky in Firefox 2, not sure how well it works for 3 yet, but may be worth a try.

I actually quite liked that future of the world YTMND.

If I knew how to make gifs, use photoshop, and edit sound, I would totally enter. And also if an awesome prize is up for grabs.

So if anyone knows of any good gif making programs and audio editors that are easy to acquire and free, letting me know would be nice. I mean I've done searches before but never got good reliable results.

I wouldn't enter a YTMND contest, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see entries that others make.

The best part of the Video Games in Real Life one was the 100 purple coins remix.

Old Snake got a chuckle out of me too.
