YTMND Thursday: The saddest YTMND ever photo

For today's edition of YTMND Thursday, I thought it would be nice to only have one specific YTMND. I will admit that I had to hold back the tears from how heartbreaking this story was. The story itself originated from a poster on the IGN Forums a long time ago and an artist at ThisIsGame saw the post and made a comic out if it.

It's also timely as today is Thanksgiving, a time to be with your family and loved ones. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I saw this a few days ago and it made me really sad. What's even sadder? I bet Tom Nook bitched that his mom didn't make her payments.

I almost cried the first time I saw it. What's amazing about this digital comic is how it starts of ok, gets sad, the sadder the HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO GOD DAMNED SAD level of sad. It totally catches you off guard.

Just goes to show that comic books, web comics, and even YTMND's are capable of a lot more than most people give them credit for.

I think it's safe to say that most gamers love their moms, you need to all go hug that special person today if you're with family.

It really was sad, one of the few things I cried over online. Even sadder though was the fact that there were so many parodies on YTMND afterward. I suppose it's to be expected from YTMND.

I don't think it's sad, except for the part that his mother died.

Kids make fun of everything, but I really doubt he made fun of her in a harmful way.

I almost cried by the fact that after a year and half of her departure, he went back to the game and received all those presents from her.
That's so nice... ^_^

That is seriously heart breaking stuff. I have absolutely no problem in that that I as a 24 yr old man serving in the Army had to fight back the tears after watching it.

Makes me sick though to see the comments people are leaving on here. Is nothing on this fucking internet sacred? I feel a great swell of pity for the few people that either laughed or posted negative comments to that YTMND.

This is one of the rare occassions where I'm filled with as much anger assadness to be honest.

I hope she keeps playing it now.

Wow! That was sad but uber great to read. Almost the exact same thing happend to me. My little brother and I used to play Animal Crossing together and we stopped a while before he passed away. About a year later I did the same thing, and found a whole bunch of stuff he had sent me in my mail box. Of course it was not sweet things, but stuff he would say like "You are a n00b". It was also funny walking around the town and seeing all the signs I made for him that said "whore" and stuff...good times!
