It would be cool if they could release titles that met with bad sales on the PSP on Steam....one can dream.
I love the Ys series. I've heard Oath had problems so I haven't picked it up yet. If this version is good I will buy it though.
These are games on my to-play list I wish it works on mac as well, or maybe it is?

Gaming is a tech focused industry, so yes it is. The current consoles are bloody ancient and so is any game that released around the time. Time for stuff like this doesn't move according to the normal standards of time.

This seems strange, this would mean that the last Ys game released on Steam was successful enough to warren another release. As if...they are actually BUYING stuff with money.

The technology is largely irrelevant to what is considered retro. And this game is a good example of why- at any given time games are made with a wide spectrum of graphics styles and budgets. This is retro-styled, yeah, but hardly retro age-wise.
And Oath in Felghana is a remake of Y's III, an actual retro game from 1989. So that starts getting all sorts of mixed up lol.

For an "older" game it looks better than Ys Seven to me. This is one of the few Ys games I haven't yet played, the others being Ys 5 (only one not fan translated), that strategy game and the PSP fighter which I have no interest in anyway.
If you thought Ys Origin referred to a competing digital distribution system, y'all ain't retro enough.

Oath in Felghana was an amazing game, I'll be sure to pickup this one too. The music in these games is badass.
I read that as"yes origin is coming to steam", like some how ea origin games were going to sell on steam but still need origin or somthing......
