Quantcast

Our twisted stepcousin has deciphered Nipponese details of a Nihon Falcom offering to bring a bonus disk to Ys Origin, running on the surely bug-free Windows Vista. Some regard Ys as a mediocre game that was only big during an opportune RPG dry spell in the mid 90's, but I remember it as one of the best game soundtracks ever conceived despite awful leading character names like "Dogi" and "Nemesis Vaginator". Here's what's in the seaweed wrap:

The disc contains code to let you play on extra difficulty modes (Very Easy and Nightmare), plus character and monster illustrations, an Arena Mode, Bonus Shop, secret bosses and costumes and more! The way to get it is to access a URL in Nihon Falcom’s mail magazine, then enter the serial number from your copy of Ys Origin and chip in 630 yen for shipping and handling.

If you import this and then drop $300 on a Turbo Duo for the other games on eBay, blame it on me when the wife sees the credit card statement.

Shirts are late :( GDC and SWSX + oversell + running out of shipping supplies + packing 300 envelopes = next time we do a limited run of 50 shirts, first come first serve :)

Ys, the ideal utopia.

I'm with ya all the way about the Ys games having the best soundtracks. I listen to Ys music all the time. Ys I&II (TurboDuo version) and YsIV had the best music, followed closely by YsVI or whatever the latest one was numbered. It's a shame the games aren't any better than they are, but the music makes up for it.

the name "Nemesis Vaginator" is turning me on!
(accidentally thinks of Rosanne Barr and ruins it)
