Gaming consoles are becoming more like entertainment consoles, I could do without it

i adored youtube until my account was deleted without any notice with a note that i supposedly broke rules(despite the fact that i've never uploaded any video nor posted comments), only to find out later after contacting with youtube help center that my account apparently NEVER EXISTED - it was during their change in layout and overall site so i'm guessing someone fucked up big time and deleted several accounts.
best part? to this day i can't create new account since i'm either getting notice that the account i've just created doesn't exist(if i actually manage to create an account) or my account is automatically banned when i try to log in for the first time after creating it.
fuck you, youtube.

I have a fucking computer, I don't want my console to do ANYTHING besides gaming media (DVD/Blu-ray support would obviously be nice but that's it).
Everything else is unnecessary.

If you don't like You Tube on your game console don't use it, pretty simple really.
I have a Macbook, PC IPad, and an Android phone but I am not the target audience for this app nor are you. Common sense is all.
I also think Wii U might actually have the ability to add somthing to web standards such as YouTubr and Facebook.

how about just installing a decent web browser on consoles, ya know that thing consoles still dont have a good version of, or non at all if you count the 360. snicker.
Hopefully some Youtube VITA app comes along. Either that, or it will be a long wait for flash support (if it ever comes!).

@IhateThisSweater: buddy, the world doesn't revolve around you. Some people consider it handy to watch youtube on the telly and I fail to see what resources are being diverted from console engineering for it.

@duffles Well luckily console manufacturers aren't consulting you, so it doesn't matter if you "could do without it." Technically, everyone could do without everything except food, water and air. Millions would like youtube on consoles. You don't. Boo hoo

Laptops are great for you watching a video on your own. For groups of people, say and they have a desktop too far away, or don't have one, then having the option of everyone being able to sit back and watch on the one TV is a big thing. Maybe you don't have any friends, so can't imagine such a thing.
